I will die tonight.
If not from the glare that Hans is giving Panda King, it will be from the constant chattering that Pan is doing in my ear.
Has he always been this annoying? I don't even know why he bothered to come because the doctor told me to make sure he sticks to light foods for a few days.
"Hans, is the steak good?" I ask as I dig into mine.
He smiles and nods, "It's delicious as usual."
"How is everything at the gym?" I ask as I eat.
"It's okay. Everyone is missing you though." His eyes turn to Pan who is glaring at his salad. "I didn't know you were bringing someone along."
"I wasn't going to Hans." I sigh.
"Actually, I wanted to meet my Tin's friends. Whoever is Tin's friend, is my friend."
I choke on my steak and Hans quickly passes me a glass of water.
"My Tin?" He says in confusion, staring at Pan.
Pan smiles smugly, "Of course. Did Tin not tell you? He is my bodyguard so naturally he belongs to me."
My heart is beating erratically at his words. No! I am not his possession! But why did his words make my chest flutter?
"Tin doesn't belong to you." Hans says angrily with his eyes glaring at Pan. "You have no right to follow Tin."
"What's up with you?" Pan asks in confusion as the same question is in my mind. Why is Hans fuming over Pan's childish nonsense?
Hans suddenly stands up and walks over. Grabbing my hand, he pulls me out of the restaurant.
"Wait, I'm confused. What are you doing Hans?" I ask breathlessly.
"If I knew Panda King was that kind of trash, I wouldn't have told you about the job." Hans moves his hand to his face, "I'm sorry I got you involved with a bastard like him Tina."
Is he regretting everything? Why? Anyone can tell Pan was just provoking him for fun.
"Hans, thank you for worrying about me but Pan isn't usually like this. Maybe it was because he was bored in the hospital that he is acting up. Just ignore him." I say.
"Are you really taking his side Tina?" Hans asks in shock.
"I'm not taking anyone's side Hans. Trust me, I know what I am doing. Panda King might have a prickly outer shell but he is an alright person." I explain.
"Tina, are you sure about this?" He says, holding my shoulders.
I nod with determination, "Yes. Don't worry, I'll be fine. You know I can fight well."
"Still..."
I laugh, "If you're worried he will find out about me being a girl, there's no need. He is stupider than I thought."
"I know I won't be able to change your mind once you're determined to do something but let me know if anything happens." Hans says and pats my head.
"You're leaving?" I ask as he starts walking away.
"Yeah. I can't stand that guy. Just be careful Tina." He says and waves.
I smile. Hans always has my back. My smile is quickly replaced by a frown when I realise I need to go and deal with Pan now. Why is he so immature lately?
"Panda!" I run to him when I see how pale he has turned. He is still not completely well. I quickly give him some water which he drinks and we leave the restaurant.
"Will you be okay getting in the back?" I ask worriedly as I hold him up.
He nods and I help him inside the car. He shouldn't have come today but this idiot is so stubborn.
As soon as we get home, I help him out of the car and inside. He isn't exactly light but I manage to drag him upstairs. His entire body is warm.
"You have a fever idiot!" I say as I lie him down on his bed. "Why are you so stubborn?"
He seems really out of it. I guess I'll have to be his nurse again.
Heading downstairs, I fill a bowl of cool water and get a clean face towel. I will have to wash him.
As I leave the kitchen, I bump into someone. Her long blonde hair and blue eyes shine as she apologises.
"Liana! When did you come?" I say in wonder. I was too busy taking care of a feverish Pan to see her when I got in.
"T-Tin." She blushes and looks at me, "I just got here an hour ago but no one was home. Is Pan alright?"
I shake my head, "That idiot brother of yours just got out of hospital after having gastritis and now he has a fever."
"What? Brother isn't well? Do you need me to take care of him?" She says in a panic.
I laugh. She's a cute girl. "No, it's okay." I gesture to my full hands, "I've got it."
"I'll leave him to you then Tin. Thank you so much. I know my brother isn't a friendly person."
"I know that too well." I chuckle, "I'll go take care of him now."
"You should stay with him tonight." Liana says seriously.
My eyes widen. I just realised I will have to take care of him all night thanks to Liana King.
"Sure. Goodnight Liana." I nod and head upstairs.
When I get to his room, Pan is lying on his bed, shivering. "C-cold." He moans sleepily.
I place my hand on his forehead. He is burning up more. Soaking the towel in the bowl, I place it on his forehead.
"I thought idiots don't catch colds and fevers." I say quietly as I move the towel to his arm and roll his sleeve up as I wipe.
Slowly, I do his other arm and stare at his shirt. I'll have to unbutton it to wipe his chest. Yawning from tiredness, I reach over and unbutton his shirt. My eyes stray down his body and I gulp at his built form. It's not obvious with clothes on but he does have a decent body.
Stop staring Tina! I scold myself as I remember why I have stripped him. Cautiously, I bring the towel to his neck and wipe down.
When I reach his chest, he grabs my hand and I stare up in horror but he is still asleep.
"Don't leave me." He cries in his sleep and holds my hand tighter.
I smile softly and stroke his hair with my other hand, "I'm here, don't worry."
He really is like a child when he is ill. Panda King, why are you so difficult?
