Sitting on his bunk, Aster store at the pack of batteries that he bought from shop in the lobby.
"What did she mean by 'interacting' with them?" He thought, rolling one in his hands.
"What are you doing, Aster?" Paisley asked, walking into the dorm.
Aster said, "just chilling out."
"Oh hey, I haven't seen you around work lately," Paisley stated, her long green hair sat frozen, sitting on her shoulders.
Aster's mind began to run, "if she finds out I'm getting special treatment, she might see me as some kind of traitor." He looked up and lied, "my aunt is sending me money from home."
"Oh," she said, "lucky."
"Yeah—she's always looking out for me," Aster said, looking down at the batteries." He suddenly shot up and asked, "she isn't sending me any money this time, do you know if anyone has work?"
"The dormitory office is always looking for people, I even saw someone from Class C in there," Paisley mentioned, folding her clothes, each shirt was sewn with 'The Harbor' labeled on them. "Ugh, the first thing I would do if I raised up to Class C is go back home and get some normal clothes, all the clothes they sell at the shop here suck."
"I'm fine with them," Aster commented, rubbing a battery in between his hands.
Pointing one eyebrow up, Paisley asked, "what are you doing?"
"Oh, this?" Aster returned, holding up the battery. "I heard that if you interact with something related to your Midnight weapon's ability, it can strengthen your connection with your weapon."
"That's just a myth, it's never worked for me."
"I guess you might think that but—oh hey Paisley, what is your Midnight Weapon?" Paisley didn't respond, she only looked down as she walked to the bathroom. "Did she not hear me?"
