Rapham had already lived three lives. He is an anomaly that remembers everything he had already experienced the past three times of life. He had always had bad luck or a shit life. This time, he would live in seclusion.
His first life he had been a King in a world called Enam. He was a powerful man, and his magic was at the top of what a human could reach. Being a king he was also a very good looking man. Women used to swoon for him everywhere he went. He was a tall, muscular man. His tanned skin was proudly displayed when he trained shirtless, his abs and shoulder muscles standing firm. He had grey eyes that seemed to see through everything, and after he turned 20, he decided to go bald. He shaved his face as well, so he had no facial hair.
Being both a powerful mage and swordsman had led him on many adventures. During one of those adventures, he had met his wife, Aria in the Elven Kingdom, and the two had fallen in love. Aria was a tall Elven woman who was well endowed in all the right places. She had long blonde hair, and her blue eyes seemed to pierce everything. The first thing that Rapham had noticed were these eyes, and he had become smitten.
As Aria was the princess of the Elven Kingdom, Rapham had had to get the Elven Kings blessing. After getting the blessing of the Elven King, Aria and Rapham married. During the time of peace that followed, Aria and Rapham had had a beautiful daughter named Liara.
When Liara came of age, she was like her mother. Tall and well endowed. She had black hair with green eyes, and her gaze would make many men falter if they stared too long.
As with many cases in the various worlds, human greed always finds a way to create chaos. In the 12th year of Raphams reign, there was a civil war. In this civil war, three of the five major generals wanted to take the Army and use it to expand, mobilizing the troops to gain land and control more territory. Rapham had refused due to the fact that people were already suffering too much with the kingdoms resources being spread too thin. The three generals did not like the kings reasoning, and attacked with the armies they had under their commands.
Since it had been a surprise attack, Rapham was captured swiftly. He had to watch as his wife and daughter were brutally raped and murdered in front of his eyes. The agony of seeing such a scene caused him to go berserk, and he had burned through his life force to kill those that had tainted his family. Life was cruel, and in the end he had been betrayed by those he was closest to.
In Raphams second life he had lived carefree for ten years. He was born in a small village on earth this time. For his first ten years, he did not recollect anything from his past life. One day, he was tilling the fields by hand with his mother, when he suddenly collapsed.
His mother screamed his name and carried him to the house. Rapham had then started convulsing before coming to an hour later. When he woke up, he wept. The scene of his wife and daughters broken faces as they were used for the various generals had broke him.
Over time, he got used to earth. He was living in a place called the United States Of America in the middle 1900's, so it was far more technologically advanced then Enam had been. His past trauma fueled him to stay away from people.
His parents and him had had a falling out, and he had joined the US Army. In 1944, he was a Staff Sergeant and he was in charge of breaching a fort on D-Day. He was killed by a rocket before ever even making it off the boat. As he faded away, his last regret was that he had not been able to say goodbye to his parents or make up with them.
His third life was unremarkable compared to his other two. Once again, he was back on Enam, but when he was five years old, his village was attacked by a Hydra. With no way to escape, Rapham shrugged, said "Fuck it.", and sat down. He was then burned to a crisp by the flames of the Hydra.
Now that Rapham was on his fourth life, he was done. He was tired of never having a chance for a good, happy life. He wanted to hold Aria and Liara once more. As he sat down in the realm between worlds waiting to be borne a 4th time, he cried out "Can you just give me a normal life!" He falls to his knees. Other souls look at him as if he has lost his mind, some were even wondering what kind of life he had just lived.
As he lays there, ruminating over his past two lives, tears form in his eyes. He had suffered in life too much. Was there a chance for him to either have eternal peace? Was there such a thing as a normal life? In his life that ended in 1944, there was such a thing as a "middle class". He wanted to be that. A man that goes to work, comes home to his wife and children. As he sits there, the agony of doing this a third time hits. His mind breaks.
"I JUST WANT TO LIVE A REGULAR LIFE WITH MY FAMILY. PLEASE GOD, ANSWER ME! WHY DO YOU TORTURE ME?!" Rapham was truly just done with life. He missed living at home with his little girl and wife, spending time together. The scene of his daughter crying, screaming for help plays over and over in his head.
