Cerene and Sharrie awoke to the sounds of their names being called. It was Zyneil. She stood by Sharrie's bed, one parent on each side, lightly shaking the girls awake. Sharrie and Cerene groggily sat up.
"What's going on?" Cerene asked as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
"Yeah, did we miss something?" Sharrie followed.
"It's the first day of school, remember lovelies?" Zyneil said as she smiled lovingly. "Come on, you don't wanna be late, do you?" She continued as she headed towards the window to open up the curtains. "You're father will be driving, and he's a stickler for being on time. He left me at the church after we got married because I was taking too long. He came back, but he let me know, never to be late again." Zyn let out a chuckle. "He's waiting downstairs with breakfast."
It took them a bit, but they realised what she had said. It was the first day of school! The girls shuffled around and rushed downstairs for breakfast. Zyn followed behind them laughing and watching them scramble to get down the steps. The family ate breakfast, shared in a few laughs and cleaned up. Cerene and Sharrie went upstairs to their bathrooms to get ready. They showered, brushed their teeth, unwrapped their hair, and got dressed. Cerene's first day of school look was having her long red hair braided back down past her waist, a black tank top, a black sweater, black jeans with rips in them and a pair of black and white tennis. She had her nails done short and squared off. They were maroon with a gradiant of black. Sharrie's first day of school outfit was having her medium length hair braided into a ballerina bun, gray tank top, pink leggings, along with grey tennis. Her nails were pink coffin shaped with rhinestones. They were fabulous! They headed down stairs with their books bags hanging off of their shoulders. Cerene had a purple book bag, while Sharrie had a navy one. Both were covered in glitter, with the words "Twinning" on them along with their names. They were so excited.
"Come one girls, today is the day." Zyn comented. "Sadly, because the two of you were already passed the sixth grade, they don't offer an orientation, but since you wanted to do public school I'm having someone show you around." She said as she was heading out the door with the girls walking behind her.
"Yes Ma'am" The girls replied in unison as they got into the car.
Zyn was explaining a few things to look out for to try and help the girls understand public school, people, teachers, work and etiquette. Once they arrived at the school they waited a little before going on.
"We did all of our hugging and kissing at home so that Mommy won't embarrass you both" Zyn giggled. "Have a good first day, girls. We love you."
"Give them hell." Vay said.
"Vay'Len! No! We are not having another one of your incidences!" Zyneil whispered to Vay.
"Love you both too!" They once again said in unison.
They headed off to the inside of the school, looking back at their parents car, before walking inside the building They paused for a bit seeing how big the inside looked. It was a little overwhelming for them both. The hallway was filled with so many people it was like an giant orphange crammed into a tiny building, except the building wasn't tiny.
"Rene, what have we gotten ourselves into?"
"I dunno Sharr. I don't know."
"Everyone gather around. I'm Mrs. Porter. A paper was sent home to your parents about your classes. For those of you in Homeroom 1-5, you're downstairs follow the signs. For those of you in Home room 7-11, you're upstairs, just follow the signs when you hit the steps. For those of you in Home room 6 and 12, please follow me to the trailers. Please stay in an orderly line and fashion. Thank you and have a great first day!"
"Oh no... Sharr... What did we do this morning."
"Ate, got dressed-"
"No no no... After all of that... Remember when we were drawing..."
"Yeah..."
"Sharr, I think we left our schedules next to the end table in my room."
"What? No, that couldn't have been... Oh no! You're right! What do we do?!"
"We should find the office maybe they'll-"
Cerene was interrupted by a boy taller than them with spikey meduim length blue hair. He wore headphones around his neck, black boots with chains on them, chains around his black jeans, a black tee-shirt that said "Curvanna" and his face was peirced.
"Hey! You must be Cerene, and you must be Sharrie."
"Yeees? Who are you?"
"They didn't tell you? I'm your Dad's younger brother, Belle." He repsonded with a smile. "Nice to meet you both!"
"Nice to meet you too" Cerene said.
"Ditto." said Sharrie
"So, Vay called me and told me that the two of you left your schedules at home, he sent me a text of the information. What's your numbers, I'll text you."
"You have a cell phone?" They said in unison.
"Yeeeaahh, don't you guys?"
"What, no!" Sharrie replied.
"I wish." Cerene added.
"That's surprising. Well, can't be helped now. Cerene, you're in Home room 12, and Sharrie you're in Home room 6. Your teachers should have extra schedules in their classrooms for you both. Luckily, you're both right across from one another. So things shouldn't be too hard. Follow me!" He said as he turned around.
The sound of clanging chains could be heard as he's walking down the hallway towards one of the side doors that lead towards the modular. Cerene and Sharrie followed closely behind him glancing at the posters and taking notice of things like the nurse, bathrooms, office, cafeteria and exists... Just in case.
"Okay, here we are! Cerene, you're too the left, and Sharrie, you're to the right." If you need me, I'll be aorund. He sees them off before heading back into the building."
Cerene and Sharrie looked at one another before heading into their classrooms.
