Chapter 11 - Home Room Part 1

Sharrie set foot inside of the oddly larged size trailor classroom. She glanced around at her teacher and classmates. It was so weird being away from Cerene. They usually stuck together, that was like their thing! Sisters, best friends, never one without the other. They had always been inseperable. They swore that They would have had the same class because their teachers name was the same. They both had Mrs. Baylor. Yet, here Sharrie was, seperated, afraid, alone... Sharrie didn't understand what went wrong. Sharrie stood there looking for an empty desk. When she found one, she sat down and made herself seem as small as possible.

"I believe we have everyone here. Hi everyone. I'm Mrs. Baylor."

"Hi Mrs Baylor." The class said in unison.

"I will be your Home Room 6 teacher. Every morning, you will come to my classroom from 9:00am until 9:30am. Then you will head to your first class. When I call your name, please come up and get your schedule."

Mrs. Baylor took a few minutes to call everyone up.

"Now, some of you will be staying with me for your next class of history. Those of you who are can just stay in your seat. Any questions?" She says as students immediately raise their hands.

"Yes, you in the blue stripped shirt." She says looking at a boy in the back

"When's breakfast?"

"Breakfast will be served every morning starting on Monday. Yes, young lady in the pink skirt."

Sharrie put her hand down. "My sister and I both had your name on our schedule, but she got sent to a different class, is she supposed to be here?"

"What numbers were next to the name?"

"006 and 012"

"Ah, she must have gotten my daughter. I'm Mrs. Baylor of 006, and my daughter is Miss. Baylor of 012. Right after the numbers there should be a letter of the first name of the teacher. You should have 006N for Nancy, on your schedule."

Sharrie looked down at her schedule and saw what the teacher meant. Such a noticable detail, and yet because they were so excited, they missed it. "Yes, Ma'am. I see it. Thank you."

"You're welcome. " Mrs. Baylor continued to answer questions until it was time to go.
