The day has come for Eva and Leo to wed. The cathedral was massive and made of crystal and glass. It was decked with the most breath taking statues and shimmering chandeliers. There was a large dome shaped stained glass window behind the alter and there were white roses that were placed everywhere.
Eva was in the dressing room with highly ranked angels helping her dress. "It's coming along nicely." One angel said. "Almost done." Said another. "I'm…kind of nervous…" Eva admitted. "Well of course. You are wedding the God of the universe. You are highly blessed." The angel said as she began to braid Eva's hair. "I mean, I don't doubt that he loves me. He went above and beyond to prove that. It's just—why me? I still feel like Eva; not Kalila." "You're memory will be restored over time." An angel assured her. "Yes, one day you will realize why he fell in love with you. Why you were destined to be." Said another. "There." Eva stood before a massive mirror and blushed. She was dressed in the most beautiful white wedding dress with the rarest diamonds and crystals completely covering it. "I've…never looked so beautiful in my life." Eva said as she tried to hold back tears. "Only the best for our Mother." An angel said as she smiled.
All of creation that abided in Heaven were there to attend to wedding. They sat with much anticipation, waiting for it to begin. Suddenly, the Archangels began a soft hymn that exploded into an orchestra of praise. Leo walked down the aisle first. Everyone bowed in admiration as he passed them by. He was wearing the most elegant robes and looked like a he had won a victory. On his head was set a crown with the most beautiful jewels anyone has ever seen. He stood at the alter; looking majestic, magnificent. Then Eva began to walk down the aisle, and she became numb. But in a good way. She didn't notice any of her surroundings, however spectacular they were. She only saw Leo. She blushed heavily and her heart was beating out of her chest, the closer she got. It's as if she realized at last that she was wedding God. Joy overwhelmed her heart, but so did a little bit of fear as well. For she knew he was the most powerful being in existence.
As she stepped up the alter, Leo took her by the hand. He smiled, as did Eva.They faced each other as the mightiest Archangel in Heaven began to speak. "Today, before all creation, God and Goddess have come together to wed again. To renew their vows. In order to give Eva, Leo's beloved, a starting point in her new journey into eternity." As the Archangel spoke, Leo and Eva spoke privately, telepathically. "You look…absolutely beautiful." Leo said. "Thank you. And…you look different. In a good way! I mean, you're a lot more handsome than I remember." Eva replied. Leo smiled. "I couldn't give away who I was." "I know." Eva said. "Are you…ready to make love?" Leo asked, blushing. Eva blushed. "I don't know. I can try, but…" Eva looked down. "There's nothing to be ashamed of. Love making is the most sacred, beautiful act of love that there is. The way you saw it on earth, it was deformed compared to the beauty that it truly is." Leo said. "I know, but I'm still scared." Eva said. "Then don't worry. We'll take all the time that we need until you're ready."
And before they knew it, it was time to make their vows. "Eva." Leo began. "Since the dawn of time; my gaze, my heart was set on only you. I knew you since before the beginning of us, and I've dreamed every day and night for this day to come. For although we had wed once, we did so in sorrow. For we knew the suffering that was before us. But now, we wed with joy. For we shall never suffer again. Eva, I love you. More deeply than the eternal ocean. And at long last, you are eternally mine." Leo said as he gently slid a ring on her finger. "Leo." Eva began as tears streamed down her face. "I know what I said. That I didn't want to marry you. But when I said that, I couldn't have been more blind. For now I know that you are the other half of my heart. You are the one I've been searching for my whole life! And I am more than happy to be your bride. Leo…I love you. And I want to be by your side forever." Eva said as she slid a ring on Leo's finger. "I now pronounce you God and Goddess, the eternal lovers, husband and wife!" And everyone cheered loudly as they kissed. "My bride…" Leo said. "My Leo…" Eva replied as they kissed again. Eva looked down. "Wait a minute. Aren't these, our friendship rings?" Eva laughed. "Perhaps." Leo smiled.
It was sunset and there was a large banquet feast prepared for everyone outside. They were the most delectable of foods. They simply couldn't stop eating. Leo and Eva stood as many people congratulated them. Her family, as well as Kiersten and Lisa, greeted them. "Ooh, are these your one true loves?" Eva said as she saw handsome young men holding Kiersten and Lisa's arm. "They sure are!" Lisa smiled. "Thank you for keeping your promise, Leo." Kiersten whispered aloud. Everyone laughed. "Nothing but the best for our beloved children." Leo began. "And because you all fought so valiantly and stood by Eva's side till' the very end, you shall now be the princes and princesses of Heaven." They marveled and smiled. "You will be treated like royalty for all eternity." Leo said. "Thank you for such a blessing, Leo!" Bertha said gratefully.
Throughout the night there was a spectacular show in the heavens. Blasts that looked like fireworks lit up the night sky. There was a lot of hustling and bustling with activities. Leo pulled Eva aside. "Are you ready to go?" Leo asked. "Where?" "Home." Leo said. "Already? But—we're having so much fun!" "I desperately need to be alone with you. Besides, everyone will understand. It's our honeymoon." Leo insisted. Eva blushed. "Okay." She said shyly. And in saying that, Leo whisked them away to their home planet.
