As Eva awoken from her slumber, she turned to see Leo gazing at her. Eva smiled. "I've never took such a peaceful nap before." Eva said sleepily. Leo kissed her forehead. "There is nothing but joy for you now." Leo said happily. Eva walked to her wardrobe to change, but noticed no clothes in it. "Huh? No change of clothes?" Eva was confused. Leo smiled. "Close your eyes, and imagine what you want to wear today." Eva closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened them, she saw herself wearing the most beautiful silky gown. "Whoa. How did I do that?!" Eva asked as she took a twirl in front of the mirror. "In Heaven, you can do almost anything." Leo said. "Almost? What can't you do?" She asked him. "Simple. You can't do what's morally wrong or the logically impossible." "That wasn't logically impossible?" Eva laughed. "Wait a minute. What happens if someone does something wrong here?" Eva asked nervously. "Then they become reevaluated by the angels. And if they are found guilty of turning to the darkness again, and refuse to repent, then they are sent to the world of darkness." Leo said solemnly. "Oh." Eva frowned. "Eva, Heaven would be ruined without rules." "I know. It's just sad to think that—well, that even now people are in that world of darkness. Experiencing the same hell I did." Eva said sadly. "What would be worse is if I created everyone to be nothing more then mindless robots." Leo said. "I know. I trust you Leo!" Eva smiled. "Though, I can't help but wonder if there was some way I could help…" Eva thought. As they walked downstairs, they sat before the greatest feast Eva has ever seen. "And this is breakfast?!" Eva asked. Leo laughed. "Go ahead. Eat all you want. You won't gain a single pound." "Are you sure…?" Eva asked skeptically as she poked at a slice of cake. "I'm sure." Leo smiled. Eva took a bite. "It's…good!" Eva was amazed. "It's like a million times sweeter than the cake on earth, but for some reason that doesn't overwhelm me!" Eva said as she dug in. "I'm glad you like it." Leo said as he began to eat as well. "I know that he's still Leo…but—I can't believe I'm dining with God!" Eva thought, a bit star struck. After they ate, they took a stroll through paradise. "It's beautiful!" Eva shouted as she lifted her arms in the air. There was a rush of a breeze that seemed to breathe life into her. Leo seemed a bit emotionless, but at the same time content. His expression was a strange sort of serene. "Everything okay, Leo?" Eva asked. "Everything is fine." Leo smiled as he gazed up into the sky. Eva smiled. But suddenly, flashes of images came to Eva's mind of the world of darkness. Eva sighed. "The real question is, is everything alright with you?" Leo asked as he looked at her. "Huh? Oh, I'm fine! Well, I guess it's just…I kind of want to see my family to see how they're doing." Eva said. Leo smiled. Then let's go." Leo said. "Oh, I meant alone…" "Huh? You don't want me to go with you?" Leo asked rather sadly. "I just don't want them to treat me like royalty. I want it to be like the good old days! And if you're there, they might hesitate to be themselves." Eva said bluntly. Even though those words hurt Leo more than she realized, he just smiled and said, "I understand. If you want to travel between worlds on your own, just take the portal. There's one in every world. It's always a massive door in the North." "Oh, thank you Leo! I'll miss you! I'll be back though!" Eva said as she gave Leo a big hug and ran off. Leo just looked solemnly at her as she ran. Eva found herself running rather quickly. "Wow, Heaven is a crazy reality! But, in a good way!" Eva smiled as she ran what seemed to be the speed of light. Suddenly, she saw the door and ran up to it. It was a giant door made of marble that glowed with light. Eva stood silently before this magnificent structure, then she whispered, "I wonder…how to use it." She remembered what Leo told her about how to get dressed, then said, "Take me to Mom and Dad's house." She opened the door and walked through. There was a flash of light and Eva suddenly found herself in another world. She was standing in a beautiful misty meadow and saw an adorable cottage in the distance. She walked right in and saw her parents enjoying breakfast. "Eva!" They shouted with joy as they rushed over to embrace her. "Mom! Dad!" Eva said as she looked down to see two familiar little faces. "And Spud and Tater!" Eva exclaimed as she knelt down to pet them. "Where's Leo?" Asked Bertha. "Oh, I asked him not to come." "Why?" Bertha and Craig were shocked. When Eva noticed that they were disturbed, she got back up. "What's wrong?" Eva asked. "Leo is the King. He's God! Do you not realize who you're new husband is?!" Craig asked sternly. "Of course I do—but—I didn't want him to scare you." Eva said nervously. "Eva, there is a mutual understanding between everyone in Heaven that Leo is good. If we didn't believe that, then we wouldn't have chosen the light." Eva looked down. "I'm sorry. I thought I was doing the right thing." Eva said sadly. "No worries, just apologize when you get back! I'm sure he'll forgive you." Bertha smiled. Eva smiled back. "Please join us for breakfast, our Queen." Craig said as he pulled a chair. "Oh, I already—huh. Actually, I could eat again!" Eva laughed as she sat down. "Only, I wish you wouldn't address me as royalty." Eva said as she dug in again. "Why not?" Craig asked. "Because to me, Heaven is going back to the way things were!" Eva said. "Things will never be the same, Eva." Bertha said. "I know, it'll be better!" Eva smiled. "By pretending to be human?" Craig asked. "Craig, let's just leave her be for now." Bertha said as she began to eat. "Can you believe that your father still didn't want us to retire by the ocean?!" Bertha laughed. "I noticed! What gives, Dad?" Eva asked. "Well, the beach isn't my favorite place. But we can always visit. For Heaven's sake, we'll be here forever!" Craig said as they all laughed. "I wonder what Miguel and Annabelle's world looks like!" Eva said excitedly. "Well, whatever it looks like, promise to take Leo with you if you should go." Bertha said. "Yes. Leo deserves more respect than what you're giving him." Craig said, concerned. "Don't worry, I will!" Eva smiled. As night fell, they held a bonfire outside and they were making s'mores. Spud and Tater were jumping high in the air, trying to catch fireflies. "Wow, they sure can jump!" Eva noticed. "And they can talk too!" Craig said. "What?!" Eva said as she peered over at them. "Hello Mom!" Tater said. "Hello!" Spud said as well. "No way! W-why didn't you guys say something earlier?!" Eva was flabbergasted. "Hee hee, we wanted to surprise you!" Tater said. Eva just hugged them and said, "This is a dream come true!" Bertha and Craig laughed. "I just want you guys to know that you were the best friends I ever had! Thank you for always being there for me!" Eva said as tears filled her eyes. "No problem! But—why are you crying Mommy?" Tater asked. "She's just overwhelmed that we can understand her now." Spud replied. "Spud, Tater. How would you like to come home with me!" Eva asked. "They can't." Craig said. "What? Why not?" Eva asked. "Because your place is with Leo." He replied. "What does that have to do with anything?!" Eva started to become angry. "Don't be angry, dear. What your father means is that—being the wife of God is different than with a human." "Heh. This is what I was worried about…" Eva said as she clenched her fists. "Eva." Bertha said holding her hands. "It'll be okay. Just stay by Leo's side and everything will be okay." That night, Eva slept in the guest room with Spud and Tater curled against her. "Do you guys think Mom and Dad don't know what they're talking about?" Eva asked. "No comment." Tater said sleepily. "Eva, our journey in Heaven only just began. Try to take a break and enjoy yourself." Spud suggested. "How can I…when I can't even bring you home." Eva said laying her face on the pillow. "I can breathe!" Eva thought. "Don't worry about us, Eva. You'll get to see us as often as you want! Time is something we don't have to worry about anymore." Spud replied. "Yeah, but it's still not fair." Eva said. Spud sighed as they fell asleep to the soft sound of chirping crickets.
