Leo held Eva in his arms as they soared through a heavenly night sky. Eva looked down as she saw the festivities fade from view. Then she looked at Leo, who was looking so contently at her. "What is it?" Eva asked as she laughed a little. "You don't understand how long I have waited for this night. For our souls to become one again at last." Leo said as Eva watched the stars twinkle by them. "Yeah." Eva said as she smiled and then suddenly her face turned pale. "Wait, what do you mean by that?!" Leo laughed as he looked ahead. "Still a child at heart I see." "W-w-wait, Leo. You're not serious, are you?" "Why not? We are married now, aren't we?" "Yes, but…still! This is all happening so fast! I don't think I'm ready! I mean, yeah, I've fallen for you now. But-that doesn't mean—" "Relax, Eva. I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to do." Leo said reassuringly. "Phew. Thanks Leo…" Eva said breathing a sigh of relief, then asked, "Where are we going, then?" "Like I said, home. I want to introduce you to it." Leo smiled. "Aww, but we're gonna miss the party…" "Don't worry. There will be many more festivities to enjoy. After all, we do have forever now." Leo said. "That's true…" Eva replied.
When they arrived, they slowly descended down the most colorful, beautiful planet Eva has ever seen. She was awestruck as the colors changed and the planets rotated as Leo turned night into day. "I know you are God…but…how did you do that?" Eva asked open-mouthed as their feet touched the earth. "Heh, you are just now asking?" They both laughed.
In the dawn of the morning they walked through an enchanted field filled with fragrant, sweet smelling flowers. The birds were singing in a strange, but holy unison. The sun turned everything rich and golden. When the mist cleared, Eva saw the most massive palace she has ever seen in her life. Palaces on earth were like marbles next to a house. "It's huge!" Eva exclaimed. "Wait until you see the inside." Leo smiled.
When they arrived at the massive doors, Eva almost expected guards to open the doors for them, forgetting that Leo could do it himself. As they entered, everything was decorated in white and gold. There were jewels and every sort of royal decoration one could imagine. And before Eva could gasp at the sight, Leo transported them to their room, which was located at the very top of the palace. "Whoa, more convenient than an elevator!" Eva laughed.
"This is our room." Leo said as he laid down on a massive bed of white silk. "I almost never thought we'd make it home…" Leo said as he closed his eyes. "Why is that?" Eva asked as she sat at the foot of the bed." "I mean, I knew that we would. But, it just almost felt like we wouldn't. To you, this all seems like it just happened. But the truth is, I've been planning out you're entire life since the dawn of eternity. I—was so worried about all the pain I'd have to put you through." Leo said as tears streamed down his face. Eva leaned over and embraced him. Leo caught himself blushing. "Don't worry. That's all in the past now. And even though there's nothing to forgive, I forgive you Leo—" Suddenly Leo threw himself on top of her, but hesitated. Eva saw Leo blushing heavily; even trying to catch his breath. But then, he closed his eyes, and rolled over next to her as if he were exhausted.
"What…just happened?" Eva asked as she still laid there, staring at the ceiling. "Forgive me, Eva. It's just, the urge is strong." Leo said as he also turned his gaze to the ceiling. "Urge? Oh, you mean 'that' urge…" Eva said as she blushed, looking rather worried. "Don't worry. I'm perfectly capable of restraining myself. It's just very difficult." Leo said quietly. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to put you through this—it's just…" "Don't feel guilty Eva. I understand. It'll just take time." Leo said as he rolled over on his side, stroking her hair. "He's…so beautiful…" Eva thought as she beheld Leo's face. "He looked so ordinary back on earth." "I couldn't have you distracted unnecessarily, now could I?" Leo replied. "Ahh!!! You can hear me?!" Eva blushed. Leo smiled. "Not only can I hear you, but I know everything you're going to say before you say it." Leo said as he continued to stroke her hair. Eva suddenly looked sad. "Isn't that depressing though? I mean, already knowing everything there is to know?" "Don't be sad, Eva. My idea of fun is unique. I may know everything already, but sharing all of that with you is like being able to relive an eternity all over again." Leo said as he smiled. "Then, I'm happy to help!" Eva smiled back.
And with that, they closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep by each other's side.
