This was a lot. I was going to be emotionally and mentally bonded to Camden, he was going to teach me to shield my thoughts from him. Everyone deserved privacy we both agreed. He had excused himself to call and talk to my mother. I took the time to shower, and try to pretend that I was a normal girl that was going on a birthday dinner with her parents. I was excited in a way, this was my first dinner with my real mother...she was an important part of my life already, she had silently taught me things that should have been taught to me many years ago. Standing in my closet with a towel on trying to pick between a teal cocktail dress and something a little simpler Camden walked back into the room.
"Oh shit!" His eyes dragged over my body which was barely covered with the towel, embarrassment slammed into me, and I reached for the closet door slamming it shut. Camden called through the door.
