"Do you remember the mall incident?" Jerry asked his friend, because they were in a call.
"Yeah, I sure do. It's kind of crazy isn't it? We could've died there I think. I remember me and my parents talking about it." Quast responded.
"Yeah, but I really didn't feel threatened at all. Anyways, I still have the video.. do you think I should upload it online?" Jerry asked as he glanced at the Gallery app on his phone. "Yeah, I think I'll post it on a later date."
"Cool, but I wonder what happened to that dude with the explosion ability." Quast thought "And the lightning guy.. I mean, he was basically the reason that our school closed down."
"Oh yeah, did I tell you that I met the lightning user in the Compores supermarket near my area." Jerry said.
"Yeah you sure did. I remember he told you that it wasn't your business what happened to him or something like that." Quast tried to remember.
"Well he wasn't that rude.. Man I wonder what happened to him." Jerry tried thinking about the possibilities, but he really couldn't.
There was a private company called "Sylon" which was owned by the World Health Organisation, some really rich people had invested a lot of money in it. The modern gray building design, of which few existed, also called a "Sylon" were hidden away in the outskirts of a small cities. They were mostly refurbished factories that had been abandoned some years ago, but they were now frolicking with indoor gardens, a lot of science personnel, and ability users that either volenteered, or criminials that were put under a strict, but also a very rewarding, monetary wise, contract.
There were currently only a few Sylon establishments in the world, and one seemed to be really close to the location where Jerry and Quast lived.
The lightning ability user was caught soon after he commited the crime of destroying school property and endangering the lives of innocent civilians, but because he had an ability he was given a contract that was almost too good to believe, so he started working to find out the secrets of Mana.
It was almost the same for the explosion ability user, except he was in a jail cell for the first few days before he got a contract to work at Sylon and help humanity discover what this curious energy called Mana, that had suddenly breached their lives, truly was.
"Yeah still haven't a clue what happened to lightning dude or explosion guy after all." Jerry spoke. "Anyways, wanna play this cool game I found?"
So they continued playing until they got bored, and just talked about the world, life and school while idling behind their computer monitors.
At a prison somewhere in the USA, an orange clothed prisoner was sat on his bed in a not cold, but also not warm cell. The prisoner, wrongly convicted, was looking straight at his walls, since today had marked his 4th month in prison. He knew that something was going on in the outside world, because his father who would visit him whenever a possibility was presented told him so.
It was the middle of the day as the prisoner was called to have a meeting with his fatherly figure.
"Johnathan, your mother still doesn't want to visit you." Johnathan's father said with a big piece of glass seperating them.
The 20 year old man with a bit of a darker skin, short hair, and a cleanly shaven face replied "Are there big news about the powers that people have been getting?" he didn't want to talk about his mother.
"Not any that I've heard of, but it's pretty crazy the things happening with the world right now." the father of the inmate replied.
After some talking, their time was now over and the father went away.
The 20 year old Johnathan who was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault had lost most of his friends, and his relatives had also believed that the female which had accused him was in the right, even though she wasn't.
But a light would fall upon him with divine grace, because when he had the conversation with his father, Mana seeded itself deep within his consciousness and he would gain multiple abilities, Johnathan would be the first person in the world to have 2 abilities.
As soon as Johnathan was back in his cell he gave more thought to the feeling he had felt as soon as the talk with his father began, as if something natural had changed within him. Once someone gets an ability from Mana they instantly understand it. Johnathan put his hand on the bed's mattress and didn't push down, but the material was squished down. He raised his hand and looked at it again, then it turned a light blue and he turned around to put it on the concrete wall behind him, an imprint of his hand appeared and the concrete was like it was made off of something pliable, but in reality it was still normal ordinary concrete.
The first ability he was utilising, was a power that repulsed materials away from his hand, and the second ability was imbuing things, in this case it was himself, with Mana.
He imbued his hand with Mana, and that meant his hand had gotten much, much stronger than it normally would've been. Johnathan thought of all the things he could do with his powers, but his cognition wasn't large enough. He also immediately thought of breaking out of prison, but if he had gotten such crazy powers, then that meant other people have also gotten possibly even stronger powers. Thinking about what kinds of monsters could be out there to contain him if he escaped sent a shiver up his body.
Yet he had lost almost everything except his father, his friends abandoned him, not even one stayed to comfort him and listen to what he had to say, how he wanted to tell everyone he knew, that he wasn't guilty of any crime.
Johnathan decided that if his ex-girlfriend didn't confess to making up those accusations within a week, he was going to escape. However he was in luck, since tomorrow was the day of reckoning when he would be released, but a hardship would also befall him, one that cannot be so easily overcome.
It was now 12:00AM and Jerry got a notification for another geode, he looked around to find that this time it was under a tree outside. Jerry was really lucky that a geode still hadn't spawned inside the apartament of someone else. He cracked the geode open with the pick side of the hammer while he was still outside and recieved an interesting item.

[A candy produced by mixing a special Mana imbued amethyst with the boiled down sugars of the common fruit called a Suidis that is found at medium depth within caves. It's oddly malleable and sweet. Consuming it gives you permanent 5 Intelligence and regenerates your Stamina and Mana.]
"That's amazing." Jerry looked at it once again, 5 permanent intelligence was a lot, that meant that his Mana would get stronger and so would his Fire Magic. The Amethyst Candy went into the Items tab. Jerry went back home after that to basically do nothing the entire day while waiting for more geodes to spawn.
Jerry had added the 4 Attribute points from the last quests on Friday entirely into Endurance.
Both the friends were doing nothing but thinking about the system and what their reality truly was, yet they were pretty close to becoming accustomed to all the incredible, and fantasy-like things happening.
