Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

Zen heard his phone get a notification. It was on the ground so he ignored it and continued to sing like the depressed soul he was. At least that's what Nate thought. Nate thought it was important message so he called Zen so he would see his phone.

Zen had a different ringtone for Nate so he'd know when his brother called. Zen heard it and stopped singing, going completely still but he didn't answer or even go back to his phone.

It took Zen a couple of minutes but he finally went back to his phone and onto the ground when he felt like he'd catch a cold if he was in there for too long. He looked at his phone and saw a text from Aelise. 'Sure.' He sent a simple text through and got up. He walked all the way back home with Nate following him.

"You disgrace." He heard when he was at home but of course he didn't care anymore. He walked straight to his room and changed. He put on Black ripped jeans, black tucked in shirt and a black leather jacket with some black boots. He needed to go to work too so he just dressed up fancy. He got his keys and went down. He got on his bike and of course his sister had to pester him.

"Hey you. Buy these." She said and chuckled a list at him. Drugs of course. He scoffed as he put his helmet on and drove to the location. He saw a guy standing there. 'So I pissed him off.' He thought to himself as he got off and removed his helmet. He walked to him, leaning against the wall next to him, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Before you beat the shit out of me, let me say. I haven't done anything to her." He spoke as he looked staright ahead, no emotions in his face or voice.

Ace chuckled at his words and then responded with an irritatingly menacing smirk present on his face. "My, why are you jumping into conclusions? I'd pity your precious visuals if I did. Besides, you already look horrible enough." He gestured at the injuries and such. But in all honesty, he kind of felt half-insecure just by looking at him. 'This is definitely one of the reasons why you terribly love him. Isn't it, Aelise? Boy looks so gorgeous I might even turn gay.'

Eros brushed his gloomy thoughts away. An awkward silence fell upon them. He finally decided to speak. "The reason why 'I' messaged you to come here is to tell you to take Aelise to her house." He paused. "It's no big deal for me now. We broke up just awhile ago." He stated bluntly. It was true, though. They did break up. But he insisted her to stay over at his house then go back home tomorrow, but she said that she wanted to go home. "I know the both of you still love each other. She doesn't love me, but I do. I'm giving you an opportunity to be together with her again, isn't that nice?" He grinned at him.

Aelise waited for Eros to get out of the room and the house before she could escape. She tried hard not to open her eyes when he was so close. She heard everything. Her heart broke upon hearing his words, however, she was in love with someone else.

She listened, his footsteps stomping downstairs and the closing of doors. When the female was assured that he left, she pushed the comforter away from her body, rising from her position. She stood up, struggling. If only the guys didn't elbow her legs. She peaked through the window and saw that he went away.

Cautiously, Aelise exited the room and went downstairs, her pace like that of a snail. She had to be careful for she knew that there were housekeepers watching television late at night. It took her for a few minutes to get to the large door. The housekeeper constanty was whirling around her head to see if anyone was there, later on shrugged.

The female successfully got out, panting heavily. "I'm so glad.." She muttered.

But little did she know, a smirking housekeeper fished her phone out of her pocket, calling someone. "She's out. Do it." With that, she immediately hung up. She stood up from the sofa and grabbed the bat under it, then headed towards the limping female.

"Where are you going, miss Vachirawit?" She called her out, causing Aelise to tense and still in her position. Tears poured out from her eyes as she looked back, the disappointment was now replaced with horror as she spotted the weapon that the housekeeper was holding as well as the smirk on her face that could tear her body apart for a mere second now. Snapping out of her senses, she tried running away across the road, with the so-called housekeeper following her. But then, it happened.

Crash

A truck crashed into her, completely knocking her out. Her head hit the floor, terribly hard. Blood was pouring from her head, it was flooding.

Everywhere.

The driver and passengers smirked in satisfaction as they got out of the truck, walking towards the girl. "You did well, Emma." They smirked at the 'housekeeper' who just rolled her eyes. "Ah fuck, will she even survive this?" One of them pinched the bridge of their nose. "You're the one who drove, so it's your fault if she will." Emma cleared her throat. "Step back. I'm about to break someone's brain. They could come here any second now so we have to do this quickly." She lifted the bat towards Aelise's forehead.

Eros stretched and sighed, looking at Zen. "Well, Aelise is waiting there so-" his words got cut off as a loud crash was heard. He mentally smirked when he realized what was happening and quickly ran towards the scene. 'The plan worked, huh.'
