"All that's doesn't matter."
Zen sighed as he got up. His face was fine as usual. It was all on the inside which was broken. "Nate, go home." Zen said. "But Zen-" Zen looked at him and shook his head. "Go, Nate. Natalie needs you. I'll be back so don't worry. It's not like I can die anyway." Zen smiled as Nate helped him up. "So, what did your sister's beloved boyfriend have to say?" Zen asked as Nate bowed to Zen and the commander then left.
"As far as I know, Aelise is a very cautious girl. How would she get- he drugged her." Zen sighed. He wanted to absolutely kill Eros. The commander came out and looked at Zen. "Want me to send him to your warehouse?" He asked and Zen shook his head. "Get the girl out. Put her in a separate room." He said and the commander went to bring Emma out and tied her up in a separate room.
"And you." Zen walked to Yuriko and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "You might want to push me off right now but don't. I'm sure that if I fall, I'll break some bones for sure." He said as he winced lightly and took Yuriko to the car.
"As hard as this may be at the moment, you've got to let things go. Let that guy go. Whatever damage has been done, it's done. We can't change it." He said as he got in the passenger's seat as he let Yuriko drive. "You've broken rules!" He heard and saw his commander rush to them.
"Excuse me?" Zen asked. "You've broken rules." The commander repeated as he pulled out Zen's gun and threw it onto his lap. "Next time, shoot him." The commander said and left.
"Let's go." Zen told Yuriko as he put the gun away. "You know? I really missed your sister. Don't think I'm a weirdo for saying all. This. And I don't want your sympathy either. I'm just speaking because I hate silence and awkwardness." He said as he leaned back onto the seat and relaxed his body.
"The guy will be taken care of. He's someone you won't ever have to worry about. Now, your sister. She's definitely going to lose her memories. I've spoken with the doctor and also your parents. You've got to stay with her. You're family. By any unfortunate chance she sees me, just tell her that I'm the guy who found her." He said and smiled, closing his eyes.
"You know, Yuriko? No matter how many times I apologize, it's not going to fix what I did. I don't even know if it's something that can be fixed but at this point, I think not. The easiest thing I can think of is that she doesn't know me. That's it. She'll have amnesia. It's best for her and her child to not know what happened. About her boyfriend and the abuse. About her best friend betraying her and making her like that. About... Me. All she needs is you guys and support." He said.
"Damn I became so philosophical." He mumbled and scoffed to himself. "It's also your choice to completely ignore what I'm saying. Like I said, your choice. Just be careful. If you guys ever need me or my help, I'll be there." He spoke when his phone rang. "Only if I could throw this thing into another universe." He groaned and answered without looking at it.
"Ah, daddy dear. What's up? How did you need me? Want my blood?" He asked sarcastically and heard his dad yell. "If she's hurt why the fuck are you calling me? I'm not the one who dropped her at that guy's house and came back." He spoke, his eyes closed. "And yeah, don't ever think about threatening me with Nate's family. Let me tell you, it won't be good." He spoke as he pulled the phone away from his ear when his dad started yelling.
"Yeah yeah whatever." He said and hung up. The only reason he didn't turn his phone off was so that he doesn't miss any calls from the hospital or from Nate. "Yeah so where was I? Yeah, missing your sister. When I saw her again, I felt like running to the top of a building and jumping off. I don't know why. Maybe because of the guilt. Maybe something else. I don't know. All I know is that I'm not over her. That might be something that you wouldn't want to hear but yeah. I'm not." He spoke. He needed to speak to someone. Why not Yuriko?
"And don't just run away. You and your brother. Aelise needs you. And till she wakes up, your parents need you."
Yuriko nodded and opened the window, but was greeted by an angry face. The male visibly sweatdropped upon seeing the person he was facing. An awkward grin crept up to his face as he waved at the person. "Ran, my man. You look dashing as a-" His words got cut off as the person threw the nearest object that was near to them, which was the wet tissues.
"Dashing my ass! What are you doing here at a time like this, you coconut head? Buy 20 fat and oily burgers? You're following a strict sleeping schedule and diet! You even have a competition next week." He scolded, making Yuriko smile nervously. Despite acting like a sixty year old asian parent, he was only an aged twenty-three. Just two years younger than the black-haired man.
He stood about 5'11 tall with auburn hair, accompanied by chestnut brown eyes. A few piercings were hanging ff his ears and a necklace around his neck that Yuriko recognized too well.
"Ran, please. Just one burger for today. Why are you here anyway? You don't even work here. Where's Risa?" The older male gave him his family's signature 'puppy eyes', making the younger groan in annoyance. "Just one burger for today when you just bought five burgers four hours ago." He scoffed, but walked off to call his sister to do her job. When he returned, he continued conversing with Yuriko. He didn't mind, there weren't any cars behind them anyway. After all, it was really late.
Zen relaxed into the seat, letting Yurio continue with his conversations. He didn't care about any of the normal bullshit. He had way too much to take care of. Like an entire company and also his job as a model. He wasn't cocky, he was just determined to finish his job.
Yuriko wiggled his eyebrows at Ran as he brought up a topic that annoyed the auburn-color haired male so much. "So, you're still wearing the necklace that my sister gave you as a gift?" He leaned his cheek on his hand. Apparently, this precious friend of his, was catching feelings for his sister ever since he introduced him to her a few years ago, but he didn't mind, for he very well knew that his sister already loved someone too much.
So both Aelise and Ran ended up being close friends. "Why do you care? I'm meeting up with Aelise tomorrow along with our other friends." He rolled his eyes. Yuriko's playful expression turned into a sad one, his smirk replaced with a frown. "She got into an accident. She'll lose her memories. I'm so sorry for not telling you this earlier." He hung his head low. Ran's eyes widened and lips parted as he held back tears.
"I- I'm sorry about that. It's fine. I'll just pay her a visit when she's feeling better." Ran managed to put a smile on, despite how shattered he felt right now. Yuriko felt guilty and sighed, "My sister is strong, okay? Cheer up, Ran. I'll talk to you over the phone instead maybe later. And hey, can you lend me some water?" The older male gave him a reassuring and warm smile, earning a nod after, "Yeah I'll see you at the race next week." He caught the bottle that was thrown to him. He then paid for the food he ordered.
Yuriko put the bottle of water beside Zen and gestured him to drink it and looked ahead as he focused on driving. It was silent for a moment but his voice broke the silence. "You can cry, you know. It doesn't make you weak at all, or gay." He commented bluntly.
"If you have something to do right now, I'm demanding you to cancel it no matter what it is. It's late at night so get some rest. You look horrible, not trying to be rude. Sleep somewhere but not your daddy dearest's house." He said before he munched on his precious burger.
'Yeah cause that's totally an option for me.' Zen thought and scoffed to himself.
