What do you mean my dear?" Mrs Penny asks Amber as she then took a bite of garlic bread.
"I shared it with my mom, 3 bedroom bungalow all one floor with the modified shower I her room, if we could work it out you could remove the price of my house off the price of your house next door" wow she is serious about the house and I didn't know, she didn't tell me, I guess we need to talk after this, make sure we are still on the same page.
"After lunch do you mind letting me see it and take pictures to show my husband and see if he agrees"
"It would be my pleasure Mrs Penny, I think you'd like it"
"Then let's turn our focus to this fabulous food and please distract me a little any wedding plan news?"
"Valentines day for the desired date" Vanessa mentions then smiles "They hired me as the wedding planner, we are currently honing in on what a valentines day theme means to them, the girls are flower girls, Tony is the best man"
"Sounds exciting, I had goosebumps on my big day, you may not believe me but he was a hunk back in his day, toned quarterback, I was a cheer leader, think I broke a few hearts when he asked me to prom and I said yes."
"What was your wedding like?" Amber asked, followed by taking a sip of water.
"It was a fair sized church wedding, family, friends and neighbors, in the summer time used a big tent outside of the church for the reception, made a big dance floor, I can show you my wedding album once cleared to reenter the house, inspector comes out tomorrow and tells me if safe or what work will make it safe enough" Mrs Penny stopping to take a drink.
"That would be lovely, I look forward to it, maybe even enjoy some tea as we do" I can't imagine Mrs Penny turning down tea.
"May I suggest that wuth your lovely features you think of a tiara and not a viel, you look like a princess and you should let yourself look like one, and Jonathan treat her like your queen, I know your a good man, so happy for you both, oh and I will suggest one more thing that it's accessible so you can invite us" said with a smile and in the sweetest tone, classic every body's Nana type of move, we love her for.
"Of course we will, you've been like family to Jonathan and I look forward to you both attending".
We finished lunch and I offered to clear the dishes if the ladies wanted to continue chatting and check out Amber's place.
I finished putting away leftovers, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, I have to admit I am nervous if we will pull it off so fast, it's ambitious but maybe it is just how groom's feel, I may ask Tony later. Hope all is going well at Amber's.
Meanwhile as the Ladies and Dad deal with the tour and I assume a discussion on paperwork and real estate lawyers for it to be done properly we go swimming the girls, Tony and I, we didn't keep track of how long we were swimming and got out when hungry, 3 hours have actually past since lunch finished and the others left, only really been swimming for maybe a hour and a half as I had done cleaning first.
It isn't unusual to lose track of time when Mrs Penny gets telling stories, I also have a feeling that some packing maybe occurring, either way I start making some dinner, doing up a stir fry and some rice.
Dinners ready and we hear everyone come back, good thing I made a lot. Mrs Penny seems over the Moon she loves Amber's place and is going to show the pictures to her husband tomorrow and contact insurance and lawyers for next steps, yes they mentioned they got talking and packing and here is a twist Mrs Penny will act as honorary mother of bride by wearing one of her mother's dresses that she saw today it is beautiful how seeing the place and items gave them all ideas on how to incorporate ways to have her presentance felt for Amber.
Mrs Penny also mentioned that if she comes across anything she thinks we would like to use for the wedding she will let us know and put it aside.
This could be a funny thought to have but I feel like she may be a Fairy God Mother, either way I am grateful she has been in my life and now Amber's.
After Dinner Mrs Penny heads back to be with her husband, the hospital is allowing her to stay over night, Amber and I clean up and hit the gym and work out together, we end up also brain storming wedding ideas and possible guests lists.
I think it's been a good day and am ready to head to bed, Amber and Vanessa want to do more idea mapping downstairs over tea so I kiss Amber on the forehead and hug Vanessa goodnight, in a few more days I learn my driving fate, I was this nervous back when first being signed.
I dreamed of the crash, it was slow motion, showing me the cause of each injury I received, it was like I was reliving the pain that went with it, the whole thing and I couldn't wake up from the nightmare, I have a special contact for my scratched eye so my vision isn't a issue like when I first came out of the coma when it was all a blur.
I feel numb as now my nightmare takes me to the office at the race shop, the slow motion not cleared to drive, the heart pounding, the flashback of the sound of the flatline, like this is my career dying.
