Chereads / The Fabulous Flaming Moose / Chapter 32 - The Wedding

Chapter 32 - The Wedding

It's amazing how it all came together, the race shop space all cleaned and dressed up, a red carpet, folding chairs dressed up by covers of a pattern of white, pink, red.

A photo booth set up, different back grounds so you can have wings, be in front of cupid and a beach scene and a nice galaxy, complete with photo printer.

A 4 layer wedding cake, white with red hearts, pink arrows and us in a cake topper kissing with xoxo along the bottom layer, just after the cake you see a dessert bar with cupcakes and more, one section already set up with table and chairs, temporary dance for and where the buffet will be and coming in a noticed a stock car covered over by white fabric.

I feel nervous when I know I shouldn't, renovations on our house, exciting thoughts, right next door to Dad, later we can add a pool, we redesigned the bedroom that took a hit from the tree and make some improvements like a skylight.

I am in my tuxedo, anxious to see my bride in the dress choosen and successfully hidden, for today, didn't see any of them.

I am grateful and amazed by what has been accomplished in a relevantly short time frame.

As guests arrive they get a swag bag with some bubbles for the ladies coming up the aisle and for when we leave for the honeymoon.

A few chocolate pieces to snack on if needed, and to be honest not sure what else the ladies got ideas and ran with it.

White bags that look kinda like a wedding dress, we did one white tude of bubbles with a Dove on top and a pink tube with double hearts. The chocolates came two in package and I think we ordered to many boxes but we can figure out what to do with the leftovers later.

I pace a bit, I am eager to she my bride, writing just a bit to see if time will move a little faster for the ceremony to start, the guests have just started arriving, my dad and my boss greeting and handing out swag bags. I will be lead to stand just before Amber is ready so I am not standing to long in wait.

Alright journal this is it, time to stand and be in awe, is it silly to think you are wishing me good luck?.

I'm a married man.

Mrs Amber Moose was radiant, a beautiful dress that was beaded, looking like a fairy tale of those other winter brides in magazines.

To my surprise her bouquet was knitted flowers by the lovely caring Mrs Penny, bless her heart it was beautiful, she was wearing the lovely red dress of Amber's mom and on the other side was Mr Penny, we found in one of the boxes some of her dads old clothes and that black suit fit him nicely, one on each side of her, respectively representing her parents to on their behalf from heaven give her away, I was crying.

The girls had done a good job blowing bubbles and getting others to do the same and right behind them was their mom, Tony gave me a nudge and whispered "Damn we are lucky guys" I took a deep breath and replied "yes we are".

The ceremony was emotionally fulfilling and for a little of it none of us had dry eyes, but to her your now husband and wife we may now seal it with a kiss, we didn't hold back and did a passionate movie style kiss where I leaned her back a bit, the guests went wild.

My boss got everyone's attention, to turn our head to the car, the first race is next weekend and I am not cleared, 3 different drivers will be in those vehicles, but the print scheme on the stock car was incredibly touching a just married theme with congratulations Moose.

We took some photos with the driver for the season and what I still call my team, my crew, then family, then more photos at the booth.

The crew took down the chairs as photos were happening and added more tables and chairs, music was playing and the buffet food was coming out, time to party.

The choice of food was steamed veggies with tofu and rice for the vegetarians or vegan, chicken pramison with fettuccine alfredo or ham with scallop potatoes.

The dessert bar was full with many goodies like cupcakes, a few cheese cake varieties, cookies, squares, some more packages of the chocolates, at dessert time the whipped cream and ice cream came out.

That's when we took the photos of cutting the cake and being playful and sliced and served the cake.

Next was speeches, then music to dance the rest of the night away before we said our good byes and got in the limousine to head to the airport.

A private plane await, we got our luggage out of the limousines trunk and boarded our flight, waited for clearance and we took off to Hawaii.

Finally Married, our honeymoon now officially underway, soaring above the clouds, enjoying the view.
