After they got out of the bar, Krystal staggered on her feet so Adina ended up supporting her to help her walk. Suddenly Krystal pushed her away and said,"Ya'lL liStEn tO ME. The whOLe fReakINg unIVerSe LIstEn TO me. My BEsT friENd hAs LOst It. ToTaLLy. ShE's OffiCiAly MAD." Adina giggled in response then said,"Alright girl, you are wasted. Let's get you home."
Krystal pouted,"I. AM. NOT. DRUNK."
"Ok ok! but still we should get you home. It's quite late now."
"Hmm... bUt... buT.. Ok, I aGreE. AdinA wouLd YoU joiN mE in My sHopPinG SpRee in ThE weEkeNd." She made puppy eyes to convince her.
"I would love to krissie but I have a lot of work to do over the weekend. Collect informations about Simmons brothers, anything and everything I can get my hands on. So, forgive me because I really can't."
Krystal pouted again and staggered a bit backwards. Unknowingly, she now stood at the edge of the main street rather than the side walk they were ambling on. A black car was coming right up in her direction. Adina cried out her name and right then Krystal turned and saw the car coming to a halt just an inch away from her. Everything happened so fast, Krystal fainted from shock and drowsiness on the spot. Adina blinked a few times holding her breath and then gave a sigh of relief. She moved forward to hoist up her unconscious best friend. Krystal was a little bit heavier and also taller than her so she was having problem helping her up.
The car was just pulled up there but no one came out to help her. The windows were opaque so Adina couldn't even see who was inside it. A few more moments passed and Adina thought 'how rude' but just then the car's front passenger door opened and a man in his 30's maybe, dressed up in all black, came out. He helped her hoist Kyrstal up and thankfully there was a bench, few steps away on the sidewalk. As soon as she made sure that her best friend won't fall off the bench, she turned and rapidly apologised, bowing again and again but the guy just turned around, not caring about her apology and entered the car. She thought aloud,"What a rude and mysterious guy."
She then booked a cab, dropped Krystal at her home and then went her home to finally lay down and get some good night's sleep. She had a feeling that the upcoming weekend was gonna be a busy and tiring one.
