(Caroline P.O.V.)
I was lounging in the main headquarters when Granite came in followed by Dylan, Cole and some other people I don't know.
"Hhhiii, we're back!" Exclaimed Dylan with a smile plastered on his face. Damn, this kid is always in a good mood.
"Who are the newbies?" I asked casually.
"Oh this is Penelope and Allison. We found them in the forest, being attacked by rogues. Turns out they are from the same pack as Natalie." Cole explained.
"Oh cool beans."
"We are going to the kitchen to give them some food. We'll be back, Sis."
"Ok, see you guys later."
They exited the room and headed towards the kitchen. Natalie came into the room and sat by me on the couch. I decided to tell her the news.
"You won't believe this but my brother just came with some people from your pack."
"Really?!? Who?!?" She exclaimed, brightness filling her eyes.
"These two girls named Penelope and Allison."
Her mood changed immediately to disgust.
"Oh Penelope. That little mutt is useless. You should probably get her out of your village before she infects the whole place."
Wow, I didn't know Natalie could be this rude. I thought Penelope looked really cute and sweet. Her eyes were mesmerizing. I've never seen someone with two colored eyes.
"What's wrong with her?" I questioned.
"Like everything. Did you see her eyes, disgusting? And when she changes into wolf form she practically looks like a pile of dead leaves. She doesn't even qualify as a wolf in my book."
"Well, appearance isn't everything, right? I mean you can't expect everyone to be perfect."
"Yeah, I know but she's too far from perfect."
I scoffed at her. How could she be so heartless towards someone? Suddenly everyone came back from the kitchen holding snacks in their hands and laughing with each other. Well, except Cole he had a stone hard facial expression. Our dad pushed him so hard growing up because he would one day be the alpha. It's like he squished all of his happiness out of him through training. I haven't seen him smile in ages.
"Oh look what we have here, Penelope. Looks like you've become a pile of twigs since I last saw you." Natalie quickly commented. Penelope's smile was swiftly wiped off of her face.
"Nice to see you too, Natalie." I could hear the sarcasm in her voice. "I see you actually look pretty healthy lately."
Her tone changed as she COMPLIMENTED Natalie. She showed her smile once more spread across her face squishing her eyes into half moons. She seemed so nice even though Natalie was so rude to her. But Allison quickly twisted Penelope's words.
"What she meant to say, Natalie. Is that you look fat."
Penelope butted back in. "I did not. Can't we just start over and leave our childhood behind. All that fighting and arguing was stupid."
"How could you say that after all that Natalie has done to you, Penny." Allison questioned looking shocked.
Uhm well, cause everyone deserves a second chance, right?" Penelope answered looking more nervous than before. I saw the boys also standing awkwardly beside them not wanting to butt into this awkward conversation. Penelope fidgeted with her fingers. I could tell she was very uncomfortable with this situation.
"Uh, is there a place we could shower or something?" She asked shyly.
"Yes, just walk down the hall until you see the door that says bathroom. There are extra clothes in there as well." Cole informed her. Penelope grabbed Allisons wrist and dragged her down the hall.
"Finally." Natalie said as her back fell into the back of the couch.
"Natalie, that was so rude. Do you have no heart?" Cole seemed really upset about her attitude.
"Babe, of course I do. For you." She pleaded.
"Ew I'm not your boyfriend so don't call me that. You're not even my type." He gave her a disgusted face.
"Not your type? I'm everyone's type. I mean look at me. I'm practically a goddess."
"Well you're not my type so back off." He scoffed. Dylan and Granite have snuck away out of the building at this point. Guess they had enough awkward situations for the day.
"Then who is?" She protested.
Cole sat there a minute thinking. I decided to butt into the conversation.
"Penelope is your type, Cole. She is sweet and innocent. She has a childish personality but is also shy. She's someone that you could protect because she seems to be scared to stick up for herself. You guys would be so cute cause you're like opposites. Like magnets. You know how opposite magnets always connect?"
He just froze, staring at me confused. Then cocky little Natalie re-entered the chat.
"Ew the alphas son with that little mutt. Hahaha what a funny joke." Ugh, she is making me so mad today.
"I can ship whoever I want to! Can you just shut-" Cole interrupted me.
"Dad wouldn't allow it so it doesn't matter." He walked upstairs.
