(Penelope's P.O.V.)
"Mittens?" I questioned myself while answering him. Anger grew in his eyes. Green light shone through them as he started to approach me with purpose and strength in his movement.
"Y- you f-f-fin-naly c-came o-" he grabbed my shoulders firmly looking intensely in my eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. P-please don't hurt me please." I pleaded tears starting to trickle down my already wet face.
"Don't ever call me that!!!!" He yelled in my face.
"I'm- sorry. Please forgive me. I didn't know you didn't like it."
My body shook at its unstable frightened state. This reminded me of when he found us. He was all intimidating and his eyes glowed.
"P-please forgive me." His face finally softened as the light in his eyes faded. He looked at my face observing my trembling lip and my puffy eyes.
"I'm sorry, Penelope. I don't know what got into me." He hugged me in his strong arms. Our wet bodies made a slapping sound when they hit each other. "I'm soo soo sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." He swayed me back and forth making me relax more. I sniffled my nose.
"We need to get you inside before you catch a cold." He let go of me and led me back inside the building. "Stay right here. I'll be back." He said before walking down the hallway leaving a track of water behind him, while I waited, leaving a puddle of water beneath my feet. He came back with a towel in his hands and one over his shoulders. He walked up to me and wrapped a towel around my shoulders.
"There you go." He smiled at me.
I was still stunned from the scene we had outside. It was so scary and now he's smiling at me with cute little dimples poking into his cheeks. What's going on?
"Penelope, are you ok?" I snapped back to reality.
"Huh? Oh yeah. I think I'm good now. Thanks for getting me a towel."
"No problem. You know I'm serious when I say you have pretty eyes." I turned my face away from his.
Heh uh what are you talking about?" I nervously hid my face. I heard a slight chuckle escape his lips. He grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him.
"I said your eyes are beautiful. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise." No one ever really calls my eyes beautiful. They only say that they're ugly or one ghost eye, one dark hole.
He took a step closer to me. Our bodies made contact as he wrapped his arms around me. I could feel my heart rate increasing, pounding against my chest.
"U-uh Cole?"
"Mhmm." He hummed while looking at my face with admiration.
"W-What are you doing?"I asked nervously.
"Just making sure you're warm and that you dry off all the way." He rubbed my towel against my arms. He then took a step away from me,
creating a space between us.
"Oh uhh thanks." I tried to take a few deep breaths without being too obvious.
