Chereads / Maria / Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

The loud sound of laughter echoed across the house at around five am in the morning. Maria and Nathan were wasted beyond their limits. She was lazily slouching on the arm chair as he had laid himself on the sofa, both of them laughing like a pack of hyenas, high on something really strong.

"OMG...do you remember that time where..."She was unable to finish her sentence due to her uncontrollable laughter.

"God...tell me I wanna laugh too.."Nathan remarked as he waved his hand lightly at her face.

"Okay...okay."Maria sighed taking a deep breath as she looked at him for a moment trying to compose herself."Remember that one time we all got so wasted…"

Nathan nodded his head waiting to hear that thing that got her laughing so hard.

"And...and you tried getting on your bike...and and then you fell, along with the whole bike.."She began laughing once again, while Nathan joined her, remembering exactly what she was talking about.

"And like the others rushed to me, trying to lift me up..."He started speaking as well, tears forming in his eyes from laughter.

"They helped you get up, but they started trying to lift the bike, instead of you…and like..they couldn't.."She burst out laughing, Nathan joining her once again.

The actual situation was way funnier when it happened, but Maria's failed drunken attempts to explain were the main reason of Nathan's laughter.

"The bike ended up falling on Frank's feet...God he was so pissed."Maria spoke, placing a hand over her mouth as she spoke.

"Frank screams like a bitch."Nathan spoke out, rather bluntly.

Maria gasped loudly as she slapped his arm jokingly."He is not..lol"She said out loud as she snickered.

They continued on laughing for about half an hour, both of them feeling their eyes heavy and tired. Maria felt like she hadn't been able to sleep in years as she finally gave in. Her body soaking into the arm chair as her legs dangled over the armrest.

Nathan stared at her for a moment, thinking of how he should just put her to bed and leave, but his simple thoughts never got further than being just thoughts as he closed his eyes, slipping into the world of slumber.

"I don't know what to do anymore Victor..my mom doesn't want to tell me anything about my dad."Edward spoke as he eyed his friend, letting out a sad sigh.

"I don't know man..maybe she doesn't wanna talk about it."The boy spoke, trying to reassure his friend that his mother was in fact a good lady."You know...like what you heard from that guy, if that's all true you can't really blame her."Victor spoke once again as he turned his wheelchair away from the computer so he was facing Edward."I mean...my moma don't even wanna tell me how I ended up on this thing..."He sighed lightly.

"Sorry man..."Edward spoke, feeling as his problem just became a bit smaller.

"Nah it's fine...I wish I had someone to ask about it, but hey...you got than Nathan guy, why not contact him anyway."Victor suggested, leaning his head on his hand, which was comfortably resting over the arm of the chair.

Edward turned his gaze towards his friend and with a pitiful smile he nodded his head lightly, on agreement to his statement.

"Dude, does your mom even know where you are?"Victor asked as it finally came to him that his friend had came to his place at 2am and had brought no cloths or anything to indicate that he was spending the night over.

"Nah. She still thinks I'm in my room.."

Victor shook his head in disapproval to his friend's methods of dealing with his problems."Go home man...your moma doesn't deserve to be freaking out right now.."

"Yeah...you're right dude..I just kind of needed some closure."Edward spoke as he smiled at his friend.

"Anytime man. I will always be here for ya..don't have much of a choice anyway."Victor said with a light chuckle that soon Eddie followed.

He didn't want to worry his mother, but all this information, just slapped him in the face like a brick. Poor boy, had no idea what was coming to him next.
