After having a lengthy discussion about his life choices with Victor, Edward decided that it was time for him to go home, and finally confront his mother for more information regarding his father and maybe even getting to know her as a person. The boy hesitantly inserted the key into the lock of the front door, almost bracing himself for what he was going to find inside but froze upon realizing that the door was unlocked. His first instinct was once again to panic hoping that he hadn't left the door unlocked before remembering that he had left his mother at home alone, after storming off the previous day.
Edward cautiously pressed on the door handle, opening the door slowly he was greeted by an unfamiliar figure sitting on the living room couch. The figure had his back turned towards the door and seemed to be smoking and occasionally staring down his phone.
The young boy pondered for a second on what to say or do until his eyes caught a glimpse of this black leathery cloth that was flung onto the couch next to the mysterious man. He stared at it for a second before he was able to make out that it was indeed a jacket and from what he could see from afar it seemed like a biker jacket, covered in patches, but the biggest one of them all was the one that covered almost the whole back of the jacket reading 'Road Raiders'
"Hell…you look just like your father."
A loud rugged voice sounded breaking Edward from his trance, causing him to once again turn his attention towards the man on the couch, who was now facing the boy.
"You gonna stand there all day or do you wanna come in?" The man spoke once again with a slightly raised eyebrow and a soft smile.
After a bit of conversation Edward was a bit calmer with the stranger in the house and the absence of his mother. He found it odd how all these years she had been such a stern by the book kind of person and suddenly all of this new information and all of these new people sprung out of nowhere, and what did he say a panic attack…was he to blame that she panicked…no way right, he had sent her a text telling her where he was. This part in particular made little to no sense to him, especially after knowing how well strung his mother was and how well she dealt with everything thrown at her, at least that's what he had seen all those years growing up under her care.
"So…you're my uncle then?"The boy spoke with a light smile. He seemed exited to have another family member aside from his mother, one that was in a gang no less, how cool was that.
"Damn straight."Nathan chimed, matching the boy's excitement in a heartbeat.
"And…you're in town now…for how long?"Edward asked eager to spend some time with his uncle and maybe learn something from him.
Nathan took the his phone from the table and checked the time, before turning his attention towards the boy next to him. "For as long as I need to be."He answered grabbing his jacket from the couch."Now, let's go pick up your mother."
