Time begun to flow once more, the young boy appeared in front of his two companions. Covered in blood with gaping wounds covering his body, the amount of blood within him is low. The boy could barely open and close his eyes to see the worried faces and cries of his companions as a blood pool formed around him.
"T-Tarus! What the hell happened!" said the old lady
"Why is this always happening to you! You reckless bastard!" said the prickly brat
"H-ee-l-p...."
The boy tried his best to speak to only cough up even more blood, his consciousness started to fade away as his vision dims. The old lady carried the beat-up boy on her back as they looked for an exit. They found an opening and went through it and once they entered it the room behind them started to collapse and several boulders covered the exit they just entered. The prickly brat carried his little sister in his arms and he used the fire crown fragment and made a light source in the dark misty room. Their footsteps echoed with every step they made, they encountered no single soul just remains of people.
"Agnes....do you think Tarus will be all right?"
"Oh my, we're on a first-name basis already?"
"E-eh.....erm....Big sister Agnes...."
"That's more like it! Anyways about your question...I think Tarus is on death's door and he could die any minute now. We need to get to the surface quick and meet up with the others and head to the Catalina Empire which Tarus said is underneath the Yggdrasil."
"Where are the others though?"
"I told them to find the vehicle and wait for us up there, they should be able to detect our body heat so no need to worry!"
"We sure are lucky to meet you big sister Agnes!"
"Oh my, Oh my, you sure warmed up quick huh.....I thought you were like one of those tsundere..."
"W-Woah! Don't call me that! I need to man up properly geez..."
"Hehehe..." the woman giggled
They continued running for a while and they saw the entrance thanks to the moonlight illuminating the dark walls of the cave. As they ran up and reached the entrance the sound of a loud explosion can be heard in the distance, several demons were grouping up together and attacking people clad in white armor....they're the other crown users from the Catalina Empire. The screams were loud enough to attract even more demons. The demons varied in grade, size, and element, several fires of tornado were made, and usually, demons don't work together in groups....unless someone is commanding them.
"Big sister Agnes!! We need to go or else the demons will catch up to us!" shouted a pigtailed purple hair girl
The other companions of Tarus were already on the vehicle and were ready to go anytime. The two ran as fast as they could while carrying the little girl and the covered in holes unconscious Tarus. Once they reached the cold metal vehicle the engine roared as the young boy with spiky black hair stepped as hard as he can on the pedal.
"Oy oy! Why run away! The party is just getting started!!"
The others looked back as a young boy was standing atop one of the towers of the 7 sins. He's a little bit shorter than Tarus, he has silver hair covering one of his eyes and his dark skin. The others looking back at the boy froze in fear as the boy floated away from the tower and followed them in the vehicle at high speeds.
"Nile, can't this vehicle go faster?!" Shouted in panic the girl with pigtails
"If it could just do that! But we can't, were on max speed!"
"H-his catching up quick! D-don't tell me his one of the 8 sins!" shouted the shy girl
"C-crap!"
"HEHEHEHE! Took your time to notice! But it's too late now! I'll be picking up these 2 girls right here!"
"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!" shouted the 2 girls as they got snatched with bird-like talons
"SAY GOODBYE NOW!! YOU WON'T BE MEETING THEM ANYTIME SOON!"
"l-LIKE I'D LET YOU DO THAT!!" shouted the now awake Tarus
"T-Tarus! You shouldn't!"
"Are you concerned about me? Then you should be more concerned about them! They treated me like family! Like hell, I'd let them be taken by some random brat!"
Tarus still covered in holes and blood got up and jumped with all his might. He brandished the Nemax at the opponent to miss and he started falling down but he quickly used some of the accursed flames on his feet to propel him up and he readied for a strike into the legs of the enemy to let go of the 2 girls. He swung the blade and the claws on the feet were harder than the surface of the golem so in an instant, he used corrosion on the Nemax which amplified its effects and the claws started corroding. With a surprised look on the enemy's face, Tarus smiled and got the 2 girls from the now broken claws.
"I LIKE YOU! I LIKE YOU BRAT!"
"YOU'RETHE ONE I SHOULD BE CALLING BRAT! I'M TALLER THAN YOU!"
"HEIGHT DOSEN'T MATTER!"
The 2 argued in mid-air and Tarus swiftly tossed the girls into the moving vehicle. He then returned to face the boy with silver hair who now has his legs regenerated. Still covered in holes, Tarus tried his best to regenerate some of his wounds as he readied the Nemax.
"Want a handicap?"
"You sure are courteous for an enemy."
"T-thanks I guess...."
"Awkward.....now I'm losing motivation to fight..."
"Same here..."
"Ah! What's your purpose for following us though?"
"Well....the others said they welcome the new member in since he just received the 'will'..."
"O-oh you mean me?"
"Y-yeah...sorry about all this.....it's just the first time I've seen girls my age...."
"Well this got even more awkward...."
"I'll disperse the demons now then to prevent any further harm."
"That'll be great, thanks a lot!"
The silvered hair boy used a pendant of some sort to call back the demons and stop them from hunting on the other crown users. Tarus went back to the stopped vehicle while the others looked at him with a surprised expression.
"Is there something wrong?"
"F-first off all, how did you get up with those wounds....?" asked Lilly
"I don't know....magic maybe?"
"S-second off all....how the hell did you fend off the enemy...he seemed to be one of the 8 sins...."
"W-well he said he just came here for me and I asked him politely to stop the chaos...."
"T-third off all...what happened to your hair!?"
"Huh? What hair?"
Tarus checked his bangs and to his surprise, his brown hair is now mixed with some white. He looked surprised but he didn't seem to be bothered by it. The vehicle now reached the Yggdrasil with the silver-haired boy in tow.
"By the way what's your name?" Tarus asked
"I'm Denzo Insta, Sin of Sloth."
"Nice to meet you Denzo! I'm Tarus, Sin of Regret...I guess....."
The others were surprised as the two sins shook hands and smiled at each other. They reached the entrance to the Catalina Empire and got of the vehicle. Suddenly Tarus began vomiting blood for some reason and he passed out.....
