As I stabbed him into the heart through his back, he suddenly became frozen solid. I pulled the Nemax out of the frozen grandmaster then someone came walking to where I 'am. The hard leather boots of this person stepped on the crackling thin sheet of ice on the surrounding floor. I returned the Nemax to my right arm that's serving as it's sheath and to be surprised by the elvish ears and his strikingly bright purple suit. Gleesh came up to me and I assume that he's the one responsible for what happened to the grandmaster.
"Yo kid! You did a good job out there! Not bad for being the youngest of the sins!"
"E-eh...What happened to Cherri and Ellaine! You bastard!"
"Hey, hey, calm down, they're alright, I was just using them as bait to make that fatass over there appear so that I can eliminate him and you did a good job!" he claps while smiling
Someone walked over to us from the burnt down throne and you can hear the person's shoes hitting on the marble floor. The person's pace was getting faster as they get near us. I turned around to see the shocked expression of Big sister Agnes, with eyes wide she shouted.
"Oh my! What happened here!?"
"B-big sister Agnes! U-Uhm...."
"Two birds with one stone I guess....."
"What the hell do you mean?!"
"Hey lady, are you the suspected person from the upper empire?"
"What about it?"
"Well, you see I have been researching about the upper empire for a long time now, maybe around half a century? I'm very interested in going up there and seeing it for myself."
"You're required to accomplish several requirements before you can activate the gate up the Yggdrasil. By the way, thanks for killing this old man off, he's a pain in the ass to deal with and he's my objective for coming down here."
"Oh, about killing the old man, I barely did anything, it's all thanks to this puny brat over here." he pointed at me whilst mocking me
"W-what do you mean puny?! You bastard! First, you kidnap Cherri and Ellaine and now mocking me?! I won't let you get away with that!"
"The two of you stop! Tarus we need to talk."
"About what?"
"J-just how did you kill the grandmaster?"
"W-well I did have a few tricks up my sleeve...."
"Oh well, it's fine if you don't want to say it, for now, anyhow you did a good job!"
She giggled as she hugged me tightly into her chest and I tried to get out of her grip but she was holding me tightly. After the incident, we burnt the corpse of the dead grandmaster and I checked on the Nemax to only see it glowing again and at the tip of the blade, there was a shriveled-up heart of the grandmaster. The Nemax seemed to be absorbing it or something. I left it to its own deeds as I ran to the three laid on the floor and I checked for their pulses and fortunately they're alive! They had no signs of wounds and it seems that the three knights betrayed the grandmaster. I looked around for the three knights to see them resting on the left wall, I ran up to them to check they're wounds, they're only covered with scratches which I healed quickly.
"W-what are you doing?" she spoke with her dried-parched throat
"Don't speak, just rest for now. You need to recover, I might as well call Zeksis since you guys are one of the Shining Chief Generals and so I can leave it to him what to do with you."
"I-I w-want to be with you m-master!"
"Oh my!"
"H-hey don't call me that! Your way older than me and I'm just a kid!"
"B-but for a kid to beat me an adult and in my hometown, the stronger one gets to be the master and we need to learn from masters to get stronger...."
"Oh, fine then.....j-just don't call me that.....Tarus will do fine." I smiled as her cool face was gone and replaced by a warm face of joy.
"Yes, M- Tarus!"
"Well let's get going shall we?" Gleesh escorted us to the unconscious Cherri and Ellaine just outside of the throne room by the door.
"Cherri! Ellaine!" I ran up to them and they looked like they're just peacefully sleeping
"Tarus, Relax and we need some help to carry the injured and unconscious people."
"Don't worry I'll carry them for you."
"Wow, you sure are helpful for someone who raided this place....."
"This is the least I can do....." he said with an annoyed face
We headed for the infirmary and we met up with Denzo, Nile, Heph, and Zeksis. We prepared eight beds for the injured and unconscious ones. Zeksis brought some nurses with him while Nile and Heph checked on the other 3 and I checked on Cherri and Ellaine. Everyone seemed to be doing fine and I sat in a corner as I slowly closed my heavy eyelids shut. I caught a glimpse of Big sister Agnes talking to Denzo and Gleesh about something. I'm really exhausted from all of the recent events and I should probably sleep. I woke up to someone tugging my clothes as to wake me up. I opened my eyes and it was one of the shining chief generals.
"W-what is it?" I yawned whilst asking her
"M- Tarus, the others are asking me to wake you up so I did...."
"Oh yeah, what's your name again?"
"I-I'm Sandra....." she whispered shyly
"N-nice to meet you formally! I'm gonna check on the others..."
I got up from the wooden chair I slept on and made my way to the beds and I flipped the curtains several bodies jumped on to me...I closed my eyes out of surprise and once I opened it again I saw the bandaged but happy faces of the 4 girls...
