Chapter 6 - Now what?

Here is what happened last time: Cinderella got to the ball, drank some "jolly" water, and made many women jealous because of her gorgeous dress. She realized how powerful The Boss must be because she sent all the guards to sleep so Cinderella could sneak into the king's chambers.

Now that you're all caught up, let's continue.

Cinderella opened the door to reveal the entrance hall to the king's bedroom. She was blown away by all the gold that looked upon her, and she felt dizzy when she closed the door behind her. Cinderella's footsteps were slow and silent at first but made haste when she realized that time was slipping away every second.

"Can we skip to the exciting part?"

Patience, my dear. All good things come to those who wait.

"Isn't that from another fairytale?"

Hush now...!

Cinderella now entered the bedroom and saw the silken sheets of the bed. The enormous portrait of the king himself with the prince right next to him. She turned her gaze towards a smaller painting. A painting of a single sunflower. Simple yet stunning. Cinderella's hands trembled as she reached out and touched the flower. She heard a small click, and the painting opened like a door. It split right down the middle. It unveiled a golden safe. She remembered the code The Boss had given her. One after another, she pressed the numbers. Then a little beeping sound and the safe was open.

Then, when she was just about to get the safe content, the bedroom door opened with a bang. It slammed against the wall behind it. The prince had barged in, and he was not alone. In his arm was a young lady. Cinderella saw it was the same lady, who he was with during the dance. Thankfully, they were all over each other and didn't have time to take a good look at the room. Because of this, Cinderella had just enough time to hide behind a little cabinet. She could not see who he was with, but the lady wore a beautiful dress, jewelry everywhere, and her laugh sounded like a bird. The prince held her tight and kissed her.

"Well, actually, he did more than kiss her. It wasn't like a peck or anything. They made out. Like, completely. Also, I think there was some touch-"

Cinderella, let's keep it PG13, alright?

"Ugh, fine!"

Cinderella sat behind the cabinet for a while when the prince looked at the lady on top of him and somehow saw the open safe. To say he threw her off is a bit much, but that is what happened after all.

'You need to go.' He said warningly. 'Go back to the ball and,' He now looked at the lady. 'Don't tell anyone a thing. Got it?'

Cinderella didn't know if it was his voice and face or the authority he had, but the lady left, even if you could clearly see her shame and outrage. The woman left and closed the door. Cinderella's heart was pounding in her chest as she saw how the prince pushed himself off the bed. And stepped closer. And closer...
