Chapter 11 - You better be ready for this

Welcome. Let's go over what happened last time. The prince wanted to dance with Cinderella, and in return, she would get the crown she wanted. Cinderella was hesitant but accepted the offer.

"Let's begin! Things are starting to develop now!"

Alright, we don't want to keep the readers waiting.

'So, like "magic" you said, right?' The prince looked at Cinderella, whose arm was linked in his.

'Yes. I can dance like the best dancer in the world.'

The prince snickered. 'Really? You have to make that true, now that you've said it. I dislike liars.'

'Pff, you dislike them? You know what I dislike?' He was taken aback for a moment and raised an eyebrow, daring Cinderella to speak her mind. 'Princes who have too high self-esteem. Who think they can get away with everything. That's what I "dislike".'

He blinked twice. 'Are you saying that's me?'

'Of course not. I would never say something like that about a royal person like you, your highness.' She made a courtesy as she said that.

'Look here, Miss I-' But before he could say anything they were out in the open, and a lot of eyes were on the both of them.

'Your highness!' A sweaty little guy came running through the crowd and bowed deeply. 'We have been looking everywhere for you ever since the princess of Marbella came back alone. Are you in pain? Are you hurt anywhere?' The little guy came closer, wanting to search the prince for any injuries, but stopped when he saw Cinderella. The annoyed look on the face of the prince also helped a lot. 'Your highness, who is-'

'Enough, with the blabbering Mr. Smith. I'm fine. This is the lady I want to dance with for the evening.' His voice became a lot more authoritative, which gave Cinderella a whole new look of him. 'Why is the music not playing yet?' With that, he took Cinderella by her hand, and they walked towards the middle of the ballroom. Cinderella heard the little guy, Mr. Smith said something to another employee to start the music, and not a minute later, the musicians played the well-known waltz.

'Are you ready?' The prince extended his hands gracefully. The young ladies and young men around them split and in no-time, there was a perfect empty circle. Perfect for them to dance in.

'Better than you'll ever be.' And she took his hand. The prince smiled at the perfect time and turned his head towards his father, who looked from a distance. 'Don't worry. I know what I'm dancing for. If I don't get this right, I won't get the crown.'

The prince pulled her in, laid his hand on her waist, and started dancing.
