Chapter 6 - Dongmei Stadium

Dozens of carriages treaded on the path leading to Dongmei Stadium.

Dongmei Stadium was relatively known to be the place where all major tournaments would occur. Holding up to almost hundreds of thousands of seats for people to occupy, it made one wonder why would the entrance examination for Silverdew Academy limit people so much.

Well, it would not be much of a surprise that they only did this for one reason.

They wanted people to feel their supremacy.

That those seats, even only to watch their measly students, were difficult for common people to acquire.

As they approached the location, Zhu Ling looked through the curtains and viewed the scenery that was being shrouded by it, as she smiled to herself.

Lei Forest wasn't really that far from the stadium and it was quite convenient for her, as she wasn't planning on wasting her entire day watching people fight.

Strong or not they all would succumb to the same fate anyway.

On top of that, she had something more important to confirm.

The myriad of carriages had finally arrived at their destination after some time and they were most definitely the scene stealer present.

The hundreds of people that were already present at the area looked at the shining red carriages and whispered amongst themselves, stopping their past activity.

Although the number of people allowed inside the stadium were limited, the entrance examination is still a big deal and so, many people would still go to the area hoping to get a glimpse of the fight.

Maybe they could see the aerial fights, hide within the crowd and secretly gain an entrance, or snoop and find a hiding place to perfectly view the fight.

They had the strength to do this as whenever they did so, there wasn't anybody there who would call them out to stop them.

Not surprisingly, this was all planned by the academy as a way to make people spread rumours and news about their students.

Quite double faced, but nothing doubtful, considering that it was Silverdew Academy.

There were also stalls that sold souvenirs of the event or necessities, diners, and places where people would make their bets, which made the hundreds of people present grow surely each passing moment.

Zhu Ling shrunk in her seat as she felt quite embarrassed at their display of wealth, thinking that this was pathetic.

It made her feel as if she were riding on the coattails of her academy and she despised that.

When the students slowly disembarked with their noble and elegant demeanour, they brought even more attention to themselves.

All the merchants present looked at the group and what they wore, as all the merchants eyes sparkled as if they could see a bright future.

They finally found their money pot.

For one, it was not that their uniforms were lavish, but that almost all those student present adorned themselves with accessories as if they were begging to be looted.

As Zhu Ling went down their carriage, she turned her head to the other group of students and scrunched her eyebrows in wonder.

When did these students suddenly wore all those accessories? They were surely not wearing them at the lunch hall.

She scoffed as she walked towards her group and waited for their instructions.

Not much was told to them, but just that they had to be at the stadium minutes before the examination would begin as the doors would lock themselves on time. After this small information was given, they were dismissed and left to do what they wished.

Zhu Ling treaded on the pathway, walking slowly and immersing herself with her surroundings and the people around her.

She did not like noise and unnecessary company at all, but she had to deal with it.

The situation would not mould itself to fit her, so she had to do it herself.

After a short walk and look around the premises, she had decided to go to a diner and order herself a feast because she had not eaten the whole day and she was a bit hungry.

Thus, she entered a small stall that was situated in a far right corner, having not many people around it. She didn't think much with her choice and just went for the closest diner possible.

What she never knew, was that this haphazard decision of hers, would change the way she lived her life.
