As she was already outside of the diner, a soft voice called out to her pleasantly.
"Excuse me, please wait!"
Zhu Ling slowly turned her head towards the person who tried to get her attention. It was the woman who was in the center of the uproar just now.
Zhu Ling raised one of her brows and looked at the approaching figure questioningly.
"Young lady, give me a moment" The woman caught up to Zhu Ling and suddenly grabbed one of her hands that were placed at her sides.
She held Zhu Ling's hand as if it were a precious piece of gold that fell from the sky.
Zhu Ling's brows creased even further.
She didn't like this overly familiar action.
"Young lady! We would like to thank you for your help at the diner." The woman gleamed as her eyes sparkled with a dewy look, enhancing her youthfulness vibe even more.
Zhu Ling thought that if this young woman weren't too affectionate, then they would actually have had a proper conversation.
She wasn't one to walk away from those who started talking to her anyway.
"If it weren't for you I would have gone ballistic at that damned worker. He didn't even try to look at the name we were pointing at!" In an instant, her happy demeanour turned sour as she bowed her head down and recalled the earlier occurrence.
Then she paused for a bit before raising her head up, looking at Zhu Ling innocently.
"Speaking of which, how did you know what our order was? I only said that it was with crab."
The young woman recalled that Zhu Ling was seated quite far from where they were and could only hear the conversation they had because the heated argument caught the attention of those present and the noise in the room died down a bit, nonetheless it was still heated by the side comments of the spectators.
How did she know which dish they were referring to?
Zhu Ling's eyes during the entire time this overly friendly person was spouting words, were firmly placed at the hand that was holding her and not letting go.
She gave out a helpless sigh and looked up at the chatting machine of a woman.
"Sentimental person, let me go" Zhu Ling stared straight at the woman in front of her, not breaking eye contact, as if she was programmed to.
The young woman was baffled for a second, because she felt like the gaze that Zhu Ling looked at her with, was staring deep into her soul.
She was lost for a moment before the young man beside her who had just caught up, nudged her gently and mumbled for her to let go.
"Ah, sorry I didn't mean to" She was shocked, yes, but she had to let go as she felt something different about the golden eyed woman in front of her.
"It's fine." Zhu Ling let out, as she rubbed her hand that was gripped a second ago.
Zhu Ling looked at the pair of new faces and settled her eyes on the young woman.
"It's the only thing difficult to pronounce that has crab in it" She wanted to added that any fool would have figured it out by the clues, but she ended up not saying it.
She did not know why, but she didn't.
Maybe because she couldn't bother herself more with this.
Yes, thats probably it.
The young woman nodded slightly as she got the answer to her question, and the man just stared at Zhu Ling like he was trying to read her.
"After the third stall across the main souvenir shop" Zhu Ling turned her back towards the pair but not before giving a small polite bow after telling them about another diner.
Whether they got what she implied or not did not concern her anymore.
Although the young woman still wanted to talk to her a bit more, she felt like there was an indescribable aura that drew an invisible barrier between them and told her not to. So she just watched as Zhu Ling turned her back and began to walk away.
After Zhu Ling walked a couple of steps forward, a sudden breeze flew past her which made her stop as her eyes widened slightly.
This scent..
Lei Forest.
This was the scent that only Lei Forest would carry.
She was sure of it.
Because of the richness of greens, mixed flowers and flowing stream, the combination of scents had become unique and it was one she was very familiar with.
After all, it was her home.
She wanted to look around to find out where the scent came from, but she decided not to anymore as she thought it was quite a foolish thought.
The chances were too slim, plus it was almost time for the exclusives to gather and log in their names and she had to be there on time, otherwise unnecessary problems may arise.
She could only throw away the thought of finding for the origin of that smell.
Maybe it was just another one of those group of twenty who snuck in there last time.
Right, they did say they were going to have a better chance.
As Zhu Ling continued walking on, she faintly heard a deep voice that seemed to be talking to the pair she was with a while ago. But as she was too far from them, the voice got lost within the noisy atmosphere.
And just like this, she headed on to reach the stadium
