Mao Huan walked towards their waiting grounds and he began to look around him.
Apart from himself, there were around five other people present and when he observed them, the nervous feeling he had moments ago, seemed to seep out and fill him once again.
There were a couple of people who were present that were drowning in their own pools of nervousness, and ultimately because of this, his meter went straight up.
He knew it himself that he should not let the anxious nature of those around him and of the situation get to him, but he couldn't really control it at this point. Right now even if he were just to hear the voice of the headmasters, it would seem like he would just crumble and fall into defeat.
It was at this point he had overheard a conversation between two people.
"Xiao'er did you see the reactions of the headmasters?" One who had dark blue cloak draped over herself said.
"I did! It was like they didn't care about the examinees!" With an exaggerated move, the little girl in purple cloak replied.
"How are they going to choose their own disciples at this point? Aren't their expectations a bit too much for everyone?" Dark blue person looked towards the stage and the headmasters and shook her head.
"Fang Cai already was astounding, why hadn't they cared about him? Shouldn't Master Chen have noticed him?" Looking troubled, purple began to nibble on her fingernails.
"Exactly what do they want…rather who do they want?" She continued.
"Even the best swordsman in our clan could not move them, are they looking for a hidden expert here? On top of that, look at the examinees, they aren't going easy at all!" Dark blue shook her head as she looked at purple and gave out a half hearted smile.
"Of course they wouldn't, the other students who are going to watch us wont take it lightly if we do bad here. They will do anything they can later on to be our opponents if they think we are weak!" After giving it a little though dark blue began muttering to herself, but it was still heard clearly.
"So those weak ones really will be filtered here" Purple let out a sigh and tried to gather herself properly as she was nearing her own turn.
"I guess you can say it is a good riddance for them, they shouldn't embarrass themselves on the stage at least." When dark blue said this, she noticed that it was her turn and that it was time for her to go up on the stage.
At this point, a large sized gossip box stood still.
He zoned out after listening to the words 'shouldn't embarrass themselves on the stage' and all that repeated inside his chaotic brain were the words 'embarrass'
Closing in to his soulless eyes, that was a point that broke the very thin glass in his world.
Ting!
The sound of Mao Huan's rationality breaking was earth shattering.
Only in his world though, as for him, it was like everything fell in front of him.
His already nervous heart began to grew even more anxious if it were even possible.
He wondered if he should go back to Tao Xiulan for a while to drag him out of his nervous stupor as the woman had no filter in her words and would most probably shock him back to reality.
Pacing around the dimly lit hallway, his aura fluctuated between highs and lows and seemed like it would fall into the lowest tier it could if nothing would be done to help him.
And as if exactly on cue, Yu Xing passed by in the hallway next to him, walking with his held up high right onto the stage, without an ounce of anxiety as if he knew he would surely win this.
Maybe it was because of the anger that brew inside of him when he saw the despicable man's face, but his nerves had calmed down a little bit, bringing his sanity slowly back.
When he realised his dumb like state cracked a little, he did all he could to get himself right on track.
He began to remember Weimin's words to him when they first met, his goal and the reason why he was here in the stadium right now.
He had to enter the Silverdew Academy.
There was no other choice.
This was the only one way.
A few seconds pass as he closed his eyes, and took deep breaths in to steady himself and his state of mind.
The moment Mao Huan opened his eyes, it was like he was another person. As if the nervous wreck just moments ago had been an illusion that never actually existed.
He walked towards the opening of the waiting grounds' hallway and took a look at the show in the stadium.
The ones facing off against each other at this juncture, were the egotistical Yu Xing and a woman cloaked in a shade of dark blue.
Mao Huan tried to recall where he saw her face and he realised that she was one of the two women who he had carelessly listened to just a little while ago.
He swiftly moved his head to the side, looking for who the woman was with a while ago and caught sight of her as she looked as if she was so immersed in praying.
Thinking about something, he looked up to the stands as his eyes grazed upon all the spectators as he tried finding for someone.
When he had laid his eyes on that person, the latter replied by raising her fists up as if in a motion saying 'If you aren't gonna pick yourself up, see whats waiting for you'
Mao Huan quickly drew his eyes back and laughed to himself.
Tao Xiulan really was not a normal person.
