Sen retracted the sword from his hands, another monster was slain by him on his way towards the inner region of the shattered forest.
Using enhanced vision, he can see the thermal figures far in the forest. Unlike the monsters he encountered, these figures had cold bodies and were in dozens, about seventy or eighty of them.
The so-called strong monsters of the inner region, that stroke fear in the heart of many people, were now sliced like butter with Sen's sword.
Clash!
When Sen arrived at his destined location, he heard the sound of crashing, and fire suddenly burst. A group was also heading in his direction.
"Sister Chika?!" a voice exclaimed from his right. Sen turned around and saw two elves and two drows looking at him.
"What happened?" he feigned a worried expression and avoided calling out their names since he did not know of any of them. The mimic orb enabled him to take the form of any creature he saw, but it had a short duration and cannot be cast for about an entire day
"The damnable humans found us" the man-drow gritted his teeth, "Eleanor betrayed us and sold our location"
"That bastard!" Sen 'angrily' exclaimed. But it wasn't totally a false sentiment since he now is a Fanalis, he feels a strong attraction to all the bloodlines he's made of, and that includes both elves and drows.
"We need to save the others, big brother Leonas," the blue female drow said, she had a bow on her back and was stained with blood.
"They brought the court mage, Nivel. We can't win them."
"But…"
"Elder Souma bought us precious time, we need to do as he asked and complete the task he entrusted us with," Leonas said.
"Chika where are the rest that went to scout?" the young elf spoke and Sen shook his head while looking down and the rest understood.
"We need to keep moving. Elder Souma asked us to find the calling stone" a fierce looking elf lady said and led the way. It looked like she and the one called Leonas were the ones leading this party of four.
Sen felt a power much stronger than the three hunters that killed Chika and the three elves back where the fight was happening.
"Brother Leonas" Sen called out, "how many are left back at the village? Is elder Souma still alive?"
Leonas was a bit surprised since little Chika has always been a bit afraid of him. she was half drow-half elf so she was always looked down upon, only later when the drow and elves formed an alliance and the relationship between the two improved greatly was she finally accepted into the social circle and made friends. He felt sad for her since she was this young and had to see her companions die on her first day as a scout.
"He's injured, so the chief is holding the line while the elder is recovering. The warriors are still fighting, but the rest of the village got captured sneakily by the magician of the court" he gritted his teeth, "they are on the way right now, the elder said that the calling stone would be the only solution to free them and help us at the moment so we want to find it. But elder Souma passed out before telling us where he put it"
"And we won't find it chatting here, we still have no idea where to find that stone so we need to leave right now if we're going to have any chance of arriving at that place before that mage kills all the village," the fierce she-elf said impatiently.
"Easy Risa, she deserves to know"
Risa looked like she was going to argue again, so Sen hurriedly interrupted, "big sister Risa, big brother Leonas, are you perhaps talking about this?" Sen said as he drew the pendant that dropped from the late young drow.
"This…this is the calling stone?" Risa exclaimed, followed by Leonas, the young drow Nivel, and the young elf.
"How do you have it?" Leonas asked. Elder Souma has described them the stone and it looked exactly like the one little Shika was holding.
"Elder Souma gave it to me to hide." Sen made a gamble and showed them the pendant stone on his chest.
"He said if something happens I should personally bring it to him," he added, seeing their expression.
"Then our work is cut out for us, let's go!" Leonas declared and unsheathed his thin sword – a rapier, and led the way back towards the village.

Meanwhile, in the center of the Grandor kingdom, the capital city, a magnificent mansion made of white marbles with ponds and wooden bridges to decorate its garden, the place was bustling with servants running to serve the masters of the house, the Zacharias family.
In a secluded corner of the mansion, a place that emitted a gloomy aura of death and carnage, greatly contrasting the beautiful scenery of the beautiful mansion, and old wrinkled woman sat on the ground holding a human skull.
"Mother! You've got to avenge me, he killed me, mother! He killed me! You need to eradicate him you hear me?" the skulls' jawbones crackled up and down, the green mist came out of the eye socket, the nostrils, and from between the jaws.
"Ooh, my baby, my poor sweet and innocent baby. Don't you worry, mommy will surely give you justice. But not now. I'll get Zacharias on it while I work on finding you a new body" the old lad spoke while shedding torrents of tears, hugging the skull in the process.
"Okay mother, but get me a better one this time…Hehe…this time, get me the body of a noble's son, so I don't have to hunt those disgusting creatures ever again"
The old woman nodded again. She is a witch the previous head of the Zacharias house invited to help him kill his parents and take the title and property for himself, but it came at the price that he must bring her young human each year. She specialized in dark magic and necromancy.
Though to be precise, the only person she brought back to life was her son who she conceived through dark means when she was 80 years old. Each resurrection took a tool on her body, but her son was her world and was willing to sacrifice anything for him. She had already killed countless young people just for her son and wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
The soul of the person speaking inside the skull was Don who got murdered by Sen. And his mother was determined to kill whoever dared kill her son. But sadly for her, and the entire Zacharias house, the one they got entangled with was none other than Sen the Fanalis.
