Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12 - ROYAL MARK

Of course, Sen did not know that his arbitrary moves were perceived by the others as the brutal killing of whoever is in front of him. Despite the many openings where Sen had his vital points exposed for anyone to hit, none had managed to do so. The reason was simply the overwhelming amount of strength he had, meaning that his strength and speed was not something these weak people would dream of contesting.

The last of the guards had fallen down to Sen's iron sword – something he randomly chose form his inventory.

Suddenly, a stone boulder dropped on Sen's head from nowhere, sending dust flying everywhere in the area.

"Sen!" Leonas cried and rushed to Sen's side when suddenly he felt a pat on the shoulder. It was Sen, he was currently alive without a scratch save his now dusty clothes. He looked in a certain direction where space abruptly opened and out came an old man and a little girl both wearing the same kind of robe.

"Impressive, to actually avoid that" Cassil sarcastically said. He did not even use half of his power. "To actually dare attack my camp, you must not want that thing atop of your neck"

Sen narrowed his eyes. This old man was currently the strongest he met since crossing over to this world. His enhanced sense told him that he was stronger than that elder Souma. But he was also much weaker than Sen. Without his battle skills, it would take longer to end them and he wanted to finish this fast and get the information he needs.

Sen lifted his index finger thinking of something cool to say, "One chance, that's all I give you. Either tell me what you really want from this village apart from enslaving its people, or you can go meet your maker"

Jenna and Cassil stared at him with open mouths before Jenna burst with laughter. "Is this person brain dead or what? Can't you read the situation? You and your disgusting creatures of a party shall die here tonight"

Cassil was also mad at the blatant disregard but he was a bit startled inside. This person had actually managed to figure out that he has hidden motives. But luckily he did not know of the goblin item. Cassil had a very important task now and would not want to waste any time on these three, he waved his staff to cast another spell.

However in that fraction of a second, the spell was not cast, Cassil frowned and Jenna gasped, "Teacher!" she shouted while pointing at his arm.

Cassil turned around to see that his staff-wielding arm was flying in the air. Adrenaline faded, and he felt the pain of losing an arm.

"Aaargh!"

His body dropped to the ground. Cassil grabbed the clean-cut wound on his shoulder and looked at Sen. But, Sen wasn't there. A cold sensation he felt on the side of his neck.

The remaining soldiers dared not to move. They were already aware of Cassil's powers but this man suddenly blinked from existence for one second and the old mage's arm was flying the next.

For mages, it was common knowledge that once you get them at a melee range, they are rendered useless since even for a high-level mage, casting time is still needed.

"Let go of teacher, you mongrel" Jenna foolishly shouted and took out her staff. A flame started to burn in front of her before forming into a fireball that hurled towards Sen.

The ball of orange fire met an invisible wall and dissipated. Jenna was startled and cast another fireball that met the same fate.

"Bastard!" shouted the anxious Jenna. She felt there was no way to defeat this man, so she directed her attack toward the spectating elf and drow.

Sen was focusing on Cassil. He momentarily forgot he had allies at his corner and frankly, he underestimated Jenna as a tantrum-throwing girl.

Surprisingly, this girl had powers such as Cassil. She opened a rift and appeared behind Risa.

"Argh!"

The she-elf felt a burning sensation and dropped to the floor with her back burnt black.

At that moment, Sen whose Fanalis memories seeped into him for a bit felt the murderous rage again, but it was kept fully under control. Nonetheless, he quickly arrived next to Jenna. Coldly held her by her shoulder.

"Jenna no-"Cassil struggled to shout, yet it was useless. Sen snapped his fingers and the next second, green fire emerged from underneath her. Jenna became a pile of ashes in a heartbeat.

Sen acted instinctively this time. Jenna and Cassil were no better than animals. He was human like them at heart. But he had already accepted the fact that he was also other things, other races. These two people look at people like him with disgust and repugnance. At that moment, he made a choice. Since she means them ill will, he will show her ill will. It was just that he couldn't control the hellfire and ended up incinerating her.

Despair colored Cassil's face. "You…do you know what you've done? That is Princess Jenna of the royal family. You just killed a princess. The capital will not let you live in p-"

Slash!

It was Cassil's right ear time that met the sharp end of Sen's sword.

"Tell me what you need of this place"

If Cassil held some hope that Sen would be scared by the mention of the royal family, it was gone now. This man would truly kill him.

But Cassil was not planning on dying here. He had no chance to beat this person but he also was a rare spatiomancer. Chanting in low voice, his eyes turned golden and Sen was abruptly repulsed from the golden cylindrical barrier that appeared around him.

Sen was surprised for a moment. From what he gathered from Leonas san Risa, mages had to use a medium to channeled spells, either their hands, an orb, or a staff. But Cassil used none.

'Interesting, he's trying to escape'. Cassil's body started to dissipate but Sen had no intention of letting him go. Hellfire appeared once again and unlike all the material things that were repulsed by the barrier, Sen's hellfire passed through and slithered to Cassil's right side, slowly burning away at it. it was obvious he was much stronger than Jenna because his body did not turn to ashes immediately.

Swoosh!

The barrier rippled and the half-burnt Cassil disappeared.

"Tssk…he escaped" Sen was annoyed, he looked at where Cassil disappeared off to and he found something that astonished him greatly.

"This…what is it doing here?"

However, just as he was about to pick it up, it disappeared.

No one saw what happened later except for Sen. The image of a man wearing a glorious crown on his head appeared. It was a spectral image.

The man held a dagger and moved so fast Sen was unable to react. The spectral dagger stabbed his shoulder and left an X mark.

"You killed a royal family member. Hunted and killed is your fate"

With that, the man disappeared but the mark remained.

Sen Then understood that the royal family of this kingdom really marked him with a target sign to be hunted.

Sen frowned, not even channeling energy to the mark managed to erase it. But he could feel some sort of power, possibly Mana, transmitting his location.

Using the same principle, he channeled Mana and covered the area. Sure enough, the transition stopped.
