Chapter 10 - 9

The next day, Ji Eun woke up to the sound of chirping birds. She realised it was 7 already. She quickly sat up, did her morning routine, wore the clothes that Jungmi had given her, and ran downstairs. She saw Jungmi and Jungkook having breakfast.

"Good morning Ji Eun!" Jungmi greeted.

"Good morning unni, good morning oppa." Ji Eun greeted them back.

"Come. Have your breakfast. We've been waiting for you." Jungmi said.

"Yeah sure. Seems delicious." Ji Eun replied.

After they had their breakfast, Jungkook said, "Ji Eun, I think we should leave now. Your parents must be waiting. We have the address. Let's not be late."

"Yes Oppa." She replied.

Within a minute, she brought all her belongings from her room and got ready to meet her parents.

It was time to bid farewell. Jungmi kissed her cheek and and wished her all the best for the future.

Ji Eun and Jungkook had just sat in the car, and Ji Eun said, "Appa said that it will take almost 2 hours to reach their place."

"No. We will have to take the long route to avoid North-Korean soldiers. So, it will take around 4 hours. Don't worry. We have food. We'll have it in the way." Jungkook said and Ji Eun nodded.

After escaping the sight of quite a couple of soldiers, Jungkook and Jumgmi reached the address, which was nothing but a small bungalow in a rural area. It took almost 3 hours to reach there.

Standing in front of the bungalow, Jungmi looked at it. She took out her phone and called her father.

"Appa, I'm here." she said with a feeble voice.

And, the door of the bungalow swept open with a creek sound at that very moment with her father with a phone in his hand and tears forming in his eyes.

Her mother, came running overwhelmed with happiness and hugged her daughter.

The air was filled with tears, hugs and kisses when suddenly her father noticed Jungkook.

"We have no words to express our thankfulness. You've really proven that humanity does exist in this world till date. We don't know who you are but may you achieve everything you wish in life." her father blessed.

"No uncle. It's my duty." Jungkook replied, having no words by witnessing the aura created in front of him.

"Please come, have a seat inside." her mother insisted.

"I would come, only if my sister wouldn't be waiting at home. It's really necessary to go." Jungkook said, and took a leave, biding his farewell to Ji Eun and her family for the last time.

The sun had set and Jungkook had reached home in time. He was really tired after the long journey and hence, slept early.
