Just then, I received a call from Jungkook, my friend back in Busan.
"Hello?"
"Hyung, I didn't want to disturb you but things are getting really tense here. We need you to come with the antitode fast." he said, urgently.
"But Jungkook, the antitode hasn't been tested. Also, we don't know if it's working. We need someone to test it on."
"..." There was no reply from Jungkook.
"Hello? Jungkook?" I said.
"I know a man," he said and sighed.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Please come fast."
The next very moment, I started packing bags and all the necessities to take to Busan.
Sohee also had to come with me. We quickly headed to the address that Jungkook had given me by my car. Fortunately, Sohee could drive so I didn't have to drive the whole way.
When we reached the address Jungkook had given me, as expected, it turned out to be an old restaurant.
We were welcomed by the sound of a crying baby in his mother's lap. I wonder how Jungkook and Seokjin managed things there.
I saw Jungkook talking to one of the military officials and Seokjin, serving food to people. As soon as Jungkook saw me, he ran towards me.
"Hyung, we seriously need your help. We don't have enough food to feed people now. Just see, this is a chaos and people are getting more and more anxious." he said, and put his hand on his head.
"I understand, and so I have brought the antitode too. It just needs to be tested."
"Yes, please. People are dying. Few days ago a little boy died out of starvation." he said, tears forming in his eyes.
"That is why I have brought the antitode. You said that you know a man with no fear of death, whom this antitode could be tested on." I spoke.
"This can be a little dangerous, but I'll take you to him," he sighed.
Jungkook took me to another place, not exactly on the outskirts of the town. This place was a little inside.
I saw an iron cage in which one of those monsters was there. Since that place was isolated and he couldn't escape from that cage, he was probably unconscious due to lack of food, umm... or blood you can say.
"Hyung, give me the antitode. I'll inject it in him." Jungkook let out a hand to get the antitode.
"No," I replied, "what if he harms you and something... just happens?"
"Hyung, today, Busan needs you. Hundreds of people like me can spread the antitode but you, you are the only one who can create it." He put his hands on both my shoulders.
I nodded my head in agreement and handed the syringe with the antitode to him.
He slowly made his way to the cage and I could feel my heart hammering. He carefully reached the zombie's hand and slowly, very slowly, injected the antitode in his hand.
I could sense the inevitable nervousness on Jungkook's face as he quickly ran towards me after his work was done.
Within a few seconds, we saw a green spot forming in the zombie's hand. Unconsciously, he started dithering. His limbs started shaking as he let out a scream, he became conscious and stood up. With one hand in another, he screamed at us wildly.
But this all had to happen. The zombie has to overcome a certain amount of pain in order to become a human.
We could see matters getting changed. His eyes slowly became less fierce, his wild behaviour turned into a weak one and the green spot in his hand was diminishing. The transformation from zombie to a human was clearly visible.
In a couple of minutes, he acquired human characteristics and lost his consciousness.
"Hyung, you did it. Busan will be saved in the next few hours. You are the savior of everyone's lives." Jungkook said, triumphantly.
No wonder he is still a kid.

"Let's check if the antitode really worked," I ran towards the cage.
From between two iron bars, I took his hand and checked his pulse rate only to find it normal. This meant that the antitode worked. My lips twitched in happiness and satisfaction to form a smile and I rose to tell Jungkook that the zombie, I mean the man, was fine.
He, while smiling end to end, unlocked the cage and dragged the man out of it. He sprinkled some drops of water on his eyes and the man woke up only to utter,"Ji Eun?"
"Sir, she's in the outskirts of the city with everyone. Are you feeling alright?" Jungkook responsibly answered.
"Yes. I'm fine. But how did I come here? I remember listening to news saying that Busan is in danger. Is everyone fine?" He questioned.
"We'll explain everything sir, please come with us first." I said.
We narrated the whole story to him. He trusted us, because we both looked like civilians.
