Chapter 15 :
Etwraith watched silently as Axel left the police station, he was dressed in one of the police officer's uniform.
He had cornered the officer at the intersection near the bathroom and the storage room while the officer was carrying out his duty. Hitting him in the head with the hammer that he brought with him. Since then he's been everywhere Axel has been, to the waiting area, the deputy's office, the garden and now walking behind him.
Etwraith had been following Axel for about six years now, tracking, recording, and talking about his movement, information, and pictures. He was doing all this because of a greater purpose than Axel Monseiratti's problem.
He was a hindrance to Etwraith's plan, and he could not have him in the picture anymore, but he's just got to suck it up because they needed him for a little while longer.
He snapped another picture at Axel as his hand was holding the phone up to his ear, talking to someone.
Etwraith laughed softly when he realized Axel had ignored the warning his boss had sent him. If he remembered correctly all the letters have been sent to, The Monseiratti household, monthly and Mr. Monseiratti seems to have blatantly disregarded his boss warnings.
'What a totally inconsiderate scoundrel,' growled Etwraith mentally.
He did not like this Axel guy one bit. If it were up to him, Axel would be six feet under the very first time he saw him. But sadly he couldn't do anything to satisfy his urges, because his boss had this weird fascination with him, he did not want to disappoint her.
His boss was or still is a very fragile woman, and she was very gullible and got hurt deeply because of it, but despite being fragile.
She has a very sharp mind, very resourceful, rich, and powerful, and was the most beautiful person he has ever seen. With her flawless skin and porcelain face, she was a truly phenomenal woman.
Her figure was on point even though she tries to hide it a lot. Her personality is so captivating and her intelligence is over the top.
People always say that a promise is a comfort to a fool, and he would have gladly turned himself in that fool to be the only one she made that promise to, and she keeps them even if it hurts her.
That's why it pains him so much to see her lust over a guy that doesn't even know about her existence, and he knew that she was only going to get hurt, and he would do anything to not see her hurt and in pain.
He could not understand her when he thought that he's one step forward. She takes ten step backward. She has someone who's in her life and wants to give her the entire universe she totally ignores that person just for some other guy she saw.
And then she comes back running to him when she's been hurt and the pain is unbearable. But her obsession with other guys is getting out of hand and his heart is slowly paying the price for falling in love with her and for thinking that she would quit whatever she was doing.
He came out of his thoughts when he realized his forehead had a burning sensation in the center.
Etwraith brought his left hand towards his forehead and winced when he felt a large swelling right in the center of it. It seemed like the large swelling had a heart of its own because it's beating co-ordination was not in sync with the Etwraith's heart.
Etwraith jumped around to look for the perpetrator but only saw a light post in front of him.
'Thank god, there was no one,' he thought as he continued to walk down the street and suddenly pause when he realized that the person he was supposed to be watching was nowhere to be found.
His breathing suddenly got heavy, his vision got a bit blurry, and dark spots slowly crept in as the blurriness faded away.
'She's going to kill me, dear god please protect me,' he thought before he blacked out.
Luckily for Etwraith, a homeless guy was walking up the street searching through every single garbage bin on that street for something to eat and keep him warm.
He went towards the bin that was located two steps away from Etwraith and released a frightened shout when he saw Etwraith's body on the ground.
The homeless guy, Dave, went down to his knees and crawled towards his body while croaking," Help somebody please help."
As he said this he searched Etwraith's pants and jacket and took almost all his money leaving with only a dollar bill. Dave then proceeded to remove all of Etwraith's jewelry such as his watch, his thumb ring, his chain, and all his piercings and his phone only leaving the SIM for Etwraith to keep.
Dave took the phone he stole and called the ambulance for him and waited by the garbage bin until the ambulance came and took Etwraith and placed him in the ambulance.
Looking up towards the dark blue sky whose stars seemed to look down on him and then turned his head in the moon's direction before going down on his knees, he placed his hands together and prayed.
"Dear father, forgive me for I have sinned, thank you for every blessing that you continue to shower upon me, even though I'm unworthy of them, lord thank you for being my guide, thank you for my source in the time of famine, in the time of need you were my strength," He paused, taking a deep breath as he did.
"Please watch over my children wherever they are, please protect their mother and her husband, my best friend, even if they did me wrong. Lord, please forgive me for stealing lord, and please protect the guy whose money I stole. Let him find a purpose in life and commit no wrong. This is all I ask and pray for in your name, Amen."
Dave walked towards the direction of the supermarket while smiling softly.
