For a whole week we ran, hunted, and slept. My legs are so tired and my paws are sore. I'm sure that the others are the some, if not worse. Right now I'm walking around looking for a place to sleep while the other three are resting. I look up at the sky. The sun is setting very low. I should get back.
I'm about to turn back when something catches my eye. The pack house. It's the pack house! I let out a joyful howl. "Guys I found the pack house." I mind link Mitch and John. I instantly hear three howls joining mine. I run to the house, once I was at the steps of the house I shift. I walk up to the door and look for the lock pad. Once I found it I put in the code in which happens to be my birthday, unlocking the door. I enter the dark house lit by the light of the setting sun through the windows.
I walk through the empty halls and stairs up to the Alpha's floor. Which is on the tenth floor. Yea, we have elevators but right now everything but the saterty system is turned off. I get to the tenth floor and is greeted by small hallway with only one door with a sign. I'm shocked by what the sign says. 'Alpha Asland Johnson' what does this mean. I open the door to an office it was a bit dark but the fading light from the window was enough to see the key things in the room. I see three doors.
The room is spacious with a desk, three chairs, a couch, and a bookshelf. I walk to the door farthest from the desk. It was too dark to see anything in it. I close the door and went to the other one near the desk. I open the door and is greeted by hallways and doors. I walk in and the first door to my right. It was hard to see in it with the sun setting.
It was a very small room. I feel around and found a box like thing on the wall. I feel a flat surface, right when my hand touch the surface the screen lits up. This must be the activation system. I put in the six digit password dad gave me for the activation system. "Man it's dark in here. Where are the lights?" Mitchell mind links me, no longer sounding dead tired.
I look at the screen and see a list of everything. I slide through the list until I see electricity. I click on it and screen changes to a list of everything that needs electricity with red dots off to the side. I scroll down and see activate all electricity on the bottom of the page. I slide it on and instantly the red dots become green. I had to close my eyes because of the sudden lights. Okay electricity is on.
I go back to the home page. I scroll through the list. I turned on the alarm systems, water, air conditioning, etc. I left the furnace off since it was summer. I walk out of the small room. I walk through the hallway opening all the doors. I found a kitchen, a gym, six bathrooms, four bedrooms, ten closets, two patios, and a greenhouse. Each room had a bathroom and closet but nothing else. Only one room had a bed in it.
I walk back to the bedroom with the bed in it. I climbed in and let the darkness take me. I woke up to the sun in my eyes. I don't want to get out of bed. I grown into the pillows. 'We need to mark the territory.' Claude growls at my laziness. I sigh and drag my body away from the bed. I walk to the end of the hall to the office. I walk to the desk and see the area mapped out. The territory is huge it's going to take me all day to mark all of this.
"THERE IS NO FOOD!" I hear Mitchell yell. At least it wasn't through the mind link. "Dude, what did you expect everything was turned off." I mind link him. "But food," Mitchell whimpers through the link. "You're pathetic." I reply back then open the link between John and Mitchell, only to discover another one. I tried to open it but it stayed close. Why is it there and who's is it?
I know it is not Jill's since she has not gone through the pack ritual. I decide to put it to the back of my mind and open John's and Mitchell's links. "John, Mitch go and hunt. John tell Jill to gather berries and herbs. I'm going to mark the territory so I'll be gone all day." I look around and notice a private elevator. Awesome, I walk to it and click the arrow button. The doors instantly open. I walk in and click the 1st floor button. The doors slide shut and I glance around. It was pretty spacious, it could probably fit about ten people in it and till have comfortable space between.
Soon the doors open. I walk out and see another one next to it. On the black elevator door is a sign Alpha Asland Johnson. I walk into the other elevator and see only nine floors. I exit and walk back to my elevator. Instead of a arrow button there's a hand scanning pad. 'Asland, now that you saw the two elevators. Can we go marking now?' Claude is very restless, I wonder why.
'If I knew the reason I've told you by now.' I shrug and walk to the front door. I walk out of the house. I'm instantly greeted by the warmth of the summer heat. I run and jump off the stairs. I shift in midair landing onto my front paws. Claude, claws to the surface of my mind. I let go of control over my body. Claude instantly takes over and heads west. After running for about two hours we found the pack marker. He scratches the trees near it, the rubs a permanent scent into the fresh scratches.
Finally at the last marker. Claude grabs the it between his teeth and yack it out of the ground. Claude throws the last marker far out of the territory. With the sound of the metal hitting a rock or something, Claude let's out a fearsome howl for those who might be a threat to his new Pack. I've never heard this howl. So raw with power, power which I didn't know we had.
I took control back and run the two hours back to the pack house. Man, I'd tell you if I wasn't a werewolf the run to the pack house and land marker would've been at least ten hours or so. Werewolf speed is crazy. I shift as the pack house comes in sight. Mitch comes out with clothes. "Jill is making you food since you haven't eaten anything since last night." I nod and took the clothes. I walk in once dressed and head to the kitchen. I thank Jill for the meal and eat. After dinner I walk to my elevator and click the tenth floor. I walk back into my office and head to the living area. I walk to the bedroom and lay down.
'Asland, remember that bond we felt when linking to Mitchell and John?' Claude asks sounding a bit worried. I open the links again and just like last time there are my family link, pack link, every interval, and the unknown link. I reach out to teach it. It flares up as if to acknowledge me. Suddenly Claude appears next to me. 'It's our mate's link'
