I wake up and force myself out of the comfortable bed. I grab a blue t-shirt and jeans to change into. I left the room with a small bag of clothes on my back. I enter my parents' room. "Oh good morning Bear." I smile at mom and put my small bag of clothes into the family bag. "Morning, I'm going out running." I tell her as I feel my restless wolf. "Okay, just make sure the BloodStone Alpha knows."
I nod and look for the Alpha or a pack member. I soon see a BloodStone pack member. "Excuse me, could you ask your Alpha if I can go on a quick run before heading out?" The man nods and blanks out. "What's your name?" After saying my name he blanks out and returns. "Alpha says you can. Also that your father wants to see you after your run." I say thank you and run to the woods.
I let Claude take control and shift. After about ten minutes Claude gives me back control. I shift and walk back to the pack house. "Son, I need to talk to you." I nod as I follow him to the Alpha's office. We enter the office. "What did you want to talk about?" I notice that the BloodStone Alpha and Luna was in the room a long with my mom. Ok something is up. 'I agree this is not normal for just talking to your son.' Claude agreed and went on high alert. I put a calm front as I nod to the BloodStone leaders.
"Please sit." The BloodStone Alpha says as he gustures to the chairs. I sit down and look at my father confused. "Asland, I know this must be confusing, but since you will be the next Alpha your father thought it best for you to be apart of this meeting." I look at the BloodStone Alpha when he address me. "And what is this said meeting?" I ask respectfully to the other Alpha. "It's a meeting about the rouges of this area." My father answers. 'Rouges of course it had to be about those filthy mutts.' Claude growls in annoyance.
"What about them?" I ask trying to keep Claude's annoyance out of my voice. "Well they are a bit active around of late. They are also coming, in more numbers. Which we all know is strange in among itself but them with an attack pattern is way too strange." This catches Claude's attention. 'A attack pattern?' I echo his question out to the others. "Yes, for the passed past year they've attacked like they are looking for something or someone." I wonder what it could mean? 'Maybe someone has taken control over the rouges.' Claude growls but suddenly stops.
'Let me have control?' I quickly let go of control, Claude has never asked for control before. "Father can you get me a map of the ten territories?" My father nods knowing my wolf is in control. "Claude, What's the matter?" Mom asks fear clear in her voice. The BloodStone Alpha looks confused. Dad runs back into the office with a large map. "Mother can you get me a red and black marker?" She nods and goes gets them as Claude unfolds the map. 'What wrong?' I ask because someone decided to block their mind. 'Asland, something is very strange about the rouges.'
Claude starts to circle all the territories in black and put red X's on where the rouges attacked. How he knows that information is beyond me. Once he's done, he turns to my parents and the BloodStone leaders. "The rouges attacked all of these territories, but out of ten territories only ours was burned." Everyone's eyes widen. The BloodStone Alpha looks at his computer and types something. "That's true, only the Firestorm Pack house was burned down."
"Rouges don't normally burn pack houses. So someone must have control over them." Claude growls as he paces around. "But who would it be?" The BloodStone Luna asks no one in particular. "Could they be look for the boy?" Everyone turns and looks at my dad. "What boy?" The BloodStone Alpha asks. "Well, my pack has carried this old prophecy about a boy born of the wolf will rise with fire and unite two species or something to that affect." A boy wolf born will rise with fire and unite two species.
'It's us.' Claude says with crystal clear confidence. 'What do you mean?' I ask hoping beyond hope that he didn't mean what I think he did. 'We are the boy of the prophecy.' I feel power flow into me at his words. 'You don't know that there's a lot of boys burn of the wolf.' Claude huffs in annoyance. 'Yes, but can they run through a burning building and not get a single burn.' Claude points out and gives me back control. "I'm the boy in the prophecy." Everyone looks at me. "And why would that be son?" I look at him, "the fire, I wasn't burned whatsoever." This got the BloodStone Alpha's attention. "You were in a fire and didn't get burned." I nod, just what could this mean for me? "How is that even possible?" His disbelief is very clear. My father pulls out his lighter, no he doesn't smoke. He just likes the look of it.
He lights it up and put the flame against my cheek. This is the first time we ever tried this since the fire. The flame is very warm against my cheek. I watch the bloodstone Alpha and luna's eyes widen. "It's really not burning him." The Luna says in shock. "Wait if they are look for the boy, wouldn't they already know it's me when I came out of the house?" Everyone gets lost in their thoughts. "I'm not sure, we did chase them away before you jumped out the window." My father says, I notice that he looks very tired as he returns his lighter back into his pocket.
'We need to get to the pack house soon.' Claude says with something in his voice, that I couldn't clearly put my finger on. What's the hurry, if the rouges are after me wouldn't it be safer here? 'No, we need to get to the pack house.' I feel him getting restless. "Dad, we need to get to the pack house faster. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can set up protocols." Dad looks at the map, "if we run in wolf form without the carts we will be able to get there in a week instead of two. Though, that will put the children in danger."
No, I'm not going to put the pack in danger. 'Asland, only we need to get there. The pack can take their time. Something is calling me and telling me to hurry.' Claude says sounding very confused and restless. "Claude, wants to get there fast but not at the risk of the pack. We will go ourselves while you and the pack get there in two weeks." I see mom shaking her head. "No, you can't go by yourself." I give her a warm smile. "I'll take Mitch, John and his mate with me." I notice mom relaxing a little. "Is that okay dad?" He nods and I leave the office.
I walk around looking for my two best friends. I could just mind link them, but this is something I want to say in person. I soon find them in the game room with the other teens of our pack as well as BloodStone. "Mitchell and John. I'd like a word with you." They both instantly became serious and stoned faced at my tone. They follow me out of the game room and into the room I was put in.
"What is it?" Mitchell ask all his playfulness gone. "I was wondering if you two will go with me to the pack house. My wolf is telling me that I must go the pack house and fast. Will you two come with me?" They straighten up and in unison said "yes Alpha." I told them we leave after breakfast. They turn to leave and get their stuff ready. "Oh and Jill is coming as well." This brings a huge smile on John's face. I walk to my parent's room and grab the small bag of my clothes. I swing it over my shoulder and head for the kitchen. Mitch, John And Jill enter the room after me. We all eat then said our goodbyes.
I shift and grab the small bag strap between my teeth. Mom walk up to me and hug my neck. "Please stay safe Asland." I nod as she hesitantly let's go of me. "Let's go." I mind link Mitchell and John. I don't have a link to Jill but John does so it'll be alright. "Yes Alpha." I start walking warming up my muscles before running. The others follow my lead. After ten minutes I start to run. I had to keep in mind that we have an oamga among us, but surprisingly she kept up very well. Okay new pack land here we come.
