Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Chrom wakens up with bad back pain. He started to question his sleeping position last night. Chrom could not think of the main reason for his back pain. Chrom brushed it off and headed to the bathroom. As he turned on the lights, the mirror showed his reflection. His half-shaven hair gave a case of bed hair. His half-asleep eyes, and downward ears, gave a gloomy look to Chrom. Chrom sighed and started brushing his teeth. As he brushed his teeth in the bathroom, Cheren walked passed the doorway with a watering can in hand. Chrom spat out the toothpaste and started to undress to take a shower. Cheren walked past the doorway towards the kitchen. Chrom tilted his head as he watches Cheren walked like a Zombie. Chrom shrugged and closed the door behind him. As he walked in, the tub can shut the curtains. He turned on the water; he heard a knock on the door.

"Good morning," Mana muttered.

"Good morning Mana, What is it?" Chrom an asked.

"Oh, Hey, Chrom. Can you hurry up in the bathroom?" Mana whispered.

"I will be out of the bathroom in a few minutes," Chrom stated.

"Okay, don't take your time," Mana stated.

Chrom heard her footsteps on the wooden floor. Chrom gave out a sigh leading to a yawn. He sticks his head under his ice water as he stood under the freezing water to affect his body. He washed his hair and body. A few minutes later, he got out of the bathtub. His body was all wet; he shocks the water off. Chrom grabbed a towel and dried his hair. He wrapped his towel around his waist as he walked out of the bathroom. Mana walked in the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Chrom sighed as he left for his room to get dressed. He gelled up his hair and checked himself in the mirror.

"Hm, I may have added a lot of gel," Chrom stated.

"Yeah you did, how are you trying to impress," Cheren asked.

Cheren was by his doorway leaning on his door with his arms crossed.

"No one really, I just felt like stealing your look today," Chrom smirked.

"I don't wear gel on my hair!"Cheren cried.

"Yeah, I know you gel your tail, not your hair. I want to mess around with my hair and see what I do with it." Chrom smiled.

"There is not much you can do with your hair. You choose to shave the sides of the head and leave the middle. It's a mohawk; there is not a lot you can do with a mohawk, Chrom." Cheren stated.

Chrom shrugged as he messed around with his hair. Cheren watched Chrom for some time, grew bored, and left. Chrom stared at his mirror and smiled. His phone started to ring. Chrom turned around and reached for his phone.

"Hello Hello, Who is calling?" Chrom answered.

"Hey Chrom, It's Jennifer calling," Jennifer said.

"Oh, what's up, Jennifer?" Chrom smiled.

"Well, I have news to share with you. You got the job: Aunt Akane, which is my boss and going to be yours. So get to the cafe shop, and we will start with training." Jennifer stated.

"Aright, I will be heading there in a couple of minutes, Chrom said before Jennifer stopped him.

"Chrom, we need you here now. We only have 3 people working in this cafe. We really do need your help." Jennifer cried.

"Alright, Alright, I will be there right away."Chrom ended the call.

Chrom stared at his mirror and frown at his hairstyle. He places the mirror on the table and left the room. When Chrom leaves, Cheren was watering the plants in the living room. Chrom started to run once outside his house. He kept running until he stopped in front of the cafe. Chrom gave a deep breath as he heads inside. As he walked into the shop, the scent of coffee overwhelms him.

"The scent of coffee overwhelms me," Chrom muttered.

Jennifer spotted him and waved at him. Chrom heads out to the counter to check. Jennifer opened a gate, and Chrom walked through behind the counter.

"Thanks for coming, Chrom at short notice. Even to start on your first day on the job. Also nice hairstyle you got there."Jennifer smiled.

"Oh, um, please mind my hairstyle. I did this cause I was messing around with my hair. Also, did you have coffee?"Chrom asked.

"Yeah, Why do you ask?" Jennifer smiles sweetly.

"Your breath smells like coffee," Chrom asked.

"Oh, um well, let me teach everything you need to know during this job," Jennifer stated.

Jennifer gave him an apron with the cafe's logo on the front. Chrom put it on and tied it.

"First thing on the list is to know how to make coffee: the coffee maker, your friend," Jennifer stated.

Jennifer taught him about the many different coffees that can be made through the coffee maker. Chrom learned more about coffee. Once Jennifer has taught him how to make a coffee cup, It turns out to be Chrom's turn to make his first cup. Chrom starts to make the coffee; he uses his scent of smell to make sure he got it right. Chrom past it to Jennifer when he finished. Jennifer took a sip and savored it. Chrom grew nervous from the silent; his tail kept wagging, hoping he did okay.

"Original creamer," Jennifer stated.

"Living in a coffee shop, have some perks, huh?"Chrom smiled.

Jennifer nodded with a smiled as they continued with Chrom's training. Chrom went around the shop, following Jennifer as a duckling doing tasks. Jennifer taught him how to take orders. Chrom had fun learning new things about working in a coffee; he enjoys the time he had with Jennifer. Chrom's smile was contagious to Jennifer; she had to smile along with him. Jennifer was impressed by how fast learner Chrom is.

"You're a fast learner that I thought you were going to be," Jennifer said.

"Thanks, did you have to teach someone, unlike me?" Chrom asked.

"Yeah, Sayuri, She is a slow learner making it hard each day when she have started. She got it now, and she does her job well." Jennifer smiled.

"Where is Sayuri? As well as your brother Ross." Chrom asked.

From a corner, Ross and Sayuri watched them. Sayuri giggles each time Jennifer and Chrom have spoken to each other.

"So why are we watching them?" Ross asked.

"I find him a good match with my dear Jennifer. He is also a cutie, a perfect match for Coco. Don't you think, Ross?"Sayuri swooned.

"I don't believe that judge of yours. You really need to stop reading romance books; you need to read real-life more." Ross muttered.

"Come on; you don't mean that, Ross." Sayuri smiled.

"Coco is looking for you. Better get there and work you nonexistent magic." Ross said.

Sayuri glared at Ross as she heads towards Jennifer. Ross rolls his eyes and sticks his tongue at her, before he left upstairs.
