Chrom waited in the bread smelling barkery. Mana stand next to him, playing with her plushie. Masashi walked towards them with a smile. Masashi's ear twitched as the tail stopped wagging. Chrom places the bag on the table without laughing. Masashi looked at Chrom, then at the bag. He grabbed hold of the bag and looked inside. Once he looked inside, his eye widened. Masashi turned to Chrom with a shocked look.
"Your joking?" Masashi stated
Chrom shook his head. I am not joking. This is real; take it's yours now."
Masashi looked at the bag and smiled at Chrom. Chrom nodded as he left headed to work. Mana followed behind him; Chrom stopped in his tracks. Chrom pointed toward the direction where their home lay. Mana laughed as he turned around and walked in the direction. Chrom let out a chuckle as he walked into the cafe. He headed inside the Cafe's storage room. As he walked in, he grabbed an apron and wanted out to work with the customers. Chrom was more focused on his work; before he knew it, he was face to face with her.
"Why, hello, Chrom. I did not think you will be working here. How is Mana." Her eye pierced him like ice.
"Why hello, Jessica," Chrom replied.
She was here once more with the scent of some lingering on her clothes. Chrom's ears were lower as he averted his eye away from hers. Chrom grabbed an empty cup and turned to the coffee maker.
"She is doing fine. Cheren is fine as well." Chrom stated as he filled the coffee.
"I really want to say sorry for your lost Chrom. Her death of unexpected. I am really sorry I could not make it to her funeral. I had to leave on that day for a job." Jessica stated.
"I understand, I really do; you were busy to be able to make it to your own sister's funeral." Chrom turned around with anger in his eyes.
Jessica looked away and gave out a sigh.
"You're mad at me for leaving you alone, are you not?" Jessica stated.
"What makes you think that?"Chrom said with a fake smiled as he gave Jessica her coffee.
"I will like to make it up to you for my treatment towards you. I am hoping we can try to make peace." Jessica grabbed the coffee.
"You holding up the line, Mrs. Mackmilling." Chrom smiled.
Jessica paid for her coffee, leaving the cafe. Chrom gave out a sigh and kept work. Jennifer witnessed the scene; she stood silent. Jennifer found Chrom in the common room with his head in his hands in the middle of there.
"Are you doing okay?" Jennifer places a hand on her shoulder.
"I am fine," Chrom muttered.
"Well, I don't want to bother you, but I am more curious about what is going on with Cheren's Aunt and you?" Jennifer asked.
Chrom lifted his head and looked at Jennifer with tears in his eye as he wiped off. Chrom looked at his hands and got up from his seat.
"I don't want to take about it." As Chrom left.
Jennifer cocked her head and place her hand on her chin. She started to question his past. Jennifer shrugged his shoulder and followed behind him. Jennifer watched as Chrom and went back to work. Jennifer did the same. Sayuri was working but bring order to a customer. Jennifer started to filled and order coffee. Akane was taking care of online orders and prepping them. Ross watches as Jennifer and Sayuirt worked; he turned his gaze to Chrom as he works. He watched Chrom's moves closely, from his speech to how he looked. Ross started to connect the dots.
"I look little like Chrom." Ross cried.
Everyone in the room stopped for a could minutes before go back to their lives.
Ross walked up to Chrom then tugged his shirt. Chrom turned to Ross with a worried look.
"What did you just say, Ross?" Chrom asked.
"I look like you," Ross stated.
Chrom thought for a bit till he got the idea. Chrom nodded before going deep into thought.
"We do look alike," Chrom said.
Jennifer felted goosebumps show up her skin. Akane walked into the room. Ross walked up to her can tell her he discovers.
"Oh, I guess they do. I have not taken a good look, really."Akane stared at Chrom closely.
"Same shade of eyes, But Chrom's eyes are darker than your's Ross. Chrom hair is the same shade of brown as Ross. That is just a mere coincidence."Sayuri compared.
"Akane is there a possibility that he could be my long lost sibling," Ross stated.
Jennifer's heart kept beating as fear fogged her mind.
"That can't be possible. Your sibling was your age when the war came around. I really don't think people around the age will survive while the Humans were after Geneses alike. " Jennifer warned.
"That is a good point, Jennifer," Sayuri muttered as she went back to work.
"There could be a possibility, I have lost my memory during an accident. I am going to bet it was during the war. It determines if I can get my memory back." Chrom grinned.
The shop was was closed for the day. Chrom finished sweeping the floor. Chrom head to the kitchen. Chrom started to chat with Akane.
"I am just fostering Ross till his sibling can come back for him. I really can't take care of Ross around my age. It's hard to give him the attention he needs. Rarely I forget things, But I fear my memory will get worse." Akane stated as she kept.
"I could adopt him. Well, Foster him in your place when his sibling comes around. If not, At least he will master what Geneses can do. Since being with humans is great in all, but there is a difference between those lives. He needs to master some things, which at his age should be taught by those of the same species as him. Your household has a female when the talk comes around, he will find talking to another male more comfortable speaking to a male. Well, it's determined by if you guys know about the male body. Just along as he will like to take my offer, or he rather stays here. I can still teach him in my free time." Chrom smiled
"That can help Rostuso a lot. We are humans; he can only teach him what is on the line of a human.' Though I can say I may have missed those classes in school, Akane told me what she knew. Wait, don't you have a sister what will you do when it's time to speak to her about her changing? "Jennifer walked into the room as she took off her apron.
"Yeah, I do; well, we have Jessica. She may dislike me, but; She have told Cheren and me that she Is willing to talk to Mana when the time comes." Chrom stated.
"What do you think, Rostuo?" Akane asked.
Rostuo thought closely and held out his hand towards Chrom. Chrom shook his hand with a smile. Jennifer and Saruir gasped.
"We did not give you a good life, Rostuo?" Sayuri stated.
Rostuo turned to The girls, "I don't dislike you. It's just you guys look very busy to give me the attention I need. Plus, you guys always seem to forget something when you give me foods that can kill me. You are very busy, and I don't want to be in the hair."
"Awe Rostuo, Your soo sweet!" Sayuirt hugged Rostuo.
"You will be missed in this house. Chrom takes good care of him." Jennifer smiled
Chrom nodded; Akane petted Rostuo's head and turned to Chrom with a smile.
"Well, I have to do some paper work before Rostuo starts living with me," Chrom stated.
Akane nodded " Will help the best I can."
