Now that the tournament was over, it was customary for those that had been enlisted to graced with the presence of the General.
It was past supper time and those that had fought in the tournament had been called upon. The assembly hall had been lit due to the darkness that plagues the night sky.
Lucian walked down the steps of the podium and addressed the crowd. And seconds later, the room seized into a dead silence. No one dared to speak out of turn in the presence of the General.
"After careful consideration, tier one and two fighters will be joining the army, you will be taken directly to the base at noon tomorrow," Lucian announced while hushed whispers echoed in the room.
Tier one fighters were those who won all their matches with ease but when considering the need for numbers adding tier two fighters was more appropriate.
"Training will begin at the base, immediately after confirming your name. That will be all."
