*Talon*
I awoke lying down in what felt like a very uncomfortable, hard bed. The sad thing is this wasn't the first time this has happened. I should be use to waking up in unknown places, yet this one bothered me. It smelt like disinfectant and sick people. The room also was too white and plain, almost like no one considered decorating it. I tried to sit up to better figure out where I'm currently am, but stopped when a wave of pain flowed from my head.
"I wouldn't try to get up if I were you. You took quite a hit to the head," a female's voice warned a little too late. She sounded like she was to my left a little out of my line of sight, but my head hurt too much to see who was talking.
"What happened, and where am I?" I asked, all the while my head pounded with pain at each word I spoke.
"Well for starters you are in the nurse's office at school. And secondly as to the pain you are now currently experiencing is from a hard blow to the head that you suffered. You also probably have a concussion," the nurse answered in thankfully a quiet voice that didn't cause my head to pound.
Figures, I thought, that bastard would punch me for saying that. I have to get out of here. I sat up despite the pain in my head and the many objections from the nurse. "Is it alright if I go back to class now?" I asked bluntly.
"You really should stay and lay down a few more minutes," she objected again. After she realized that I wasn't going to lie back down she sighed and said, "Yeah just let me write you a hall pass. Who is the teacher?"
"Mr. Monroe," I answered. She quickly filled out the pass and handed it to me.
"I know you probably are going to ignore any advice I give you, but it is my job to give you some," she explained. "Try to take it easy for the rest of the day. Also, you should go to the doctor's and get checked for a concussion. In fact, I will call your parents and inform them about your injury," she went on. "Now hurry to class Talon," the nurse finished.
I quickly left the nurse's office and walked to my "favorite" subject, history. This is going to be a long day I thought
