"THEN I WILL WAIT FOR YOUR ARRIVAL." Our conversation ended just like that. I did not even had the chance to decline or acknowledge his invitation. Now, how do I tell my wife about this?
The beeping tone of the phone hurted my ears so I disconnected the line before being swallowed with my own train of thoughts. I finally had the chance to take a day off from the hospital, but now I'll need to file a paid leave too! She's really going to kill me!
I resumed driving and reached my house in no time. I parked my car, honked the horn once then turned off my engine. I got out of the vehicle and waited for the auto garage door to close when the entrance to the living room slightly opened and a small head peeked through the small opening.
"DADDY?"
"HEY THERE PRINCESS!"
"YAY! DADDY!" she giggled and I picked her up immediately then swayed her in my arms. Another heart melting laughter warmed my heart and relieved my stress.
