When Eunuch Feng sent the reports over, he saw his master reading through them while occasionally trying to stop a smile.
The widow truly made him feel resigned. He had only casually mentioned that he would have nothing to do after he became worldly again and might actually become a robber, but she was not afraid at all. In fact, she even asked him to snatch her away so that she could become his wife.
Every time the monk thought about it, a smile appeared on his face.
It made him appear to not be serious, and she left, angry.
But this did not affect the monk's good mood. His widow truly loved him to the core, which was why she was willing to follow him regardless of his status.
Eunuch Feng stayed behind for a while to watch his master. His master smiled again and again, and Eunuch Feng could no longer bear the sight. He went out to look for Yingda to ask him about what had happened.
"What on earth happened? Why is the master in such a good mood?" Eunuch Feng asked.
How could the master possibly smile while he read through reports? He had always been very serious. Something good had to have happened.
"I don't know." Yingda shook his head. He just saw the widow leave angrily. He did not know why his master would be in a good mood.
"She is really good," Eunuch Feng said once more with a sigh.
She was able to make his master continue smiling even after she left. Could someone like this be normal?
Ever since he was young, the master was taught by the former emperor to cherish the country. All he ever learned was the ways of a ruler and how to manage his people, so while he lived in his abode, the women in it never received this sort of treatment.
Even if they used all sorts of tricks to compete for his favor, the number of times his master went to the backyard remained the same. He never stayed for long either. He just occasionally visited them an extra two or three times.
From this alone, Eunuch Feng knew just how disciplined his master was.
So he did not expect that the widow would be able to break the limits his master set for himself.
Eunuch Feng could not even call her a widow anymore. He should really refer to her as a lady. Otherwise, if his tongue slipped someday, he would have to suffer the consequences himself.
Chu Yue was not in a good mood.
'Stupid monk. I asked him to take me away to be his wife, and he laughed.'
She did not even regard him with disdain after he turned into an unemployed person after he became worldly again. She actually wanted to become a robber with him and give birth to a few children for him, but he actually had the gall to laugh!
"Milady, Yingda came over to tell me that you were going to stay there to avoid the rain today," Hupo said.
"I was afraid that you'd be worried, so I came back," Chu Yue replied.
"It's pouring right now. You don't have to worry about me, Milady. You should have stayed there to avoid the rain," Hupo said.
"I will next time." Chu Yue nodded.
She started steeping the stewed bird's nest and practicing yoga. She did not care about whether the monk would be fortunate enough to enjoy her trained body at some point. What she cared about was training her body until it became well.
The storm lasted for five days. During them, Chu Yue did not go to the monk's side, because she wanted him to know that he did something wrong.
Let this be a lesson to him that he should not laugh when she said something serious to him in the future.
Even when it stopped raining and the sky became clear, Chu Yue did not go over at night.
But the monk came and carried her over.
"Why did you come here? I thought we were living our own lives," Chu Yue said.
"Didn't you miss me over the past few days?" the monk asked.
His voice was very sexy. It was low and magnetic, and when he spoke gently, he could make people's spines tingle.
Chu Yue really liked it, but she turned her face away. "I understand now. You don't intend to take me away, do you?"
The monk did not say anything. He carried her to the small mattress he had put in the outer room. He did not say much to her, and Chu Yue instantly became livid.
"Why are you angry?" the monk asked with a cocked eyebrow.
Chu Yue turned away and did not even look at him.
"You're constantly letting your mind run wild. Don't you know just how I treat you? You just love hurting my heart," the monk said in resignation.
Chu Yue turned around and looked at him. "I'm not letting my mind run wild. I'm telling you clearly right now that if you want to break off our relationship, you should tell me about it clearly. I have never been the clingy type. If you don't love me, then I will stop bothering you!"
The monk was stunned. Then, he looked at the feisty widow in resignation.
When Chu Yue saw him reacting this way, she let out a huff. "Stop trying to pretend that your silence is gold. We can break off our relationship the moment you want to stop this entire thing."
Once she finished speaking, she even shoved him. "Go away. Stop bothering me while I sleep."
The monk felt a little angry. "Woman, don't you have any guilty conscience at all?"
He had never treated someone like this before, so what exactly was she saying? She would break off their relationship the moment he wanted it to stop? Was all that she did for him in the past fake?
"Yes, I don't have even a shred of guilty conscience. I have a wicked heart, and the world does not tolerate me. This isn't the first time you learned about this. I reminded you of this before. It's not too late for you to leave; otherwise, your reputation will be ruined by someone like me." Chu Yue's eyes turned moist. She turned her head around and refused to look at the monk, but in truth, she had an obstinate look on her face.
The monk turned her head around and looked into her eyes. "Must you hurt me this way?"
"You're actually putting the blame on me?!" Chu Yue looked at him in anger.
The monk said nothing. Who was putting the blame on who now?
"You have no guilty conscience! It's so rare for me to fall in love with someone, and I've even admitted that I've fallen in love with you, but I didn't expect that you're actually a womanizer! Leave! Don't touch me!" Chu Yue shouted while struggling to get free.
"When have I ever said something like that?" the monk asked helplessly.
"You didn't, but that's what you're thinking," Chu Yue said.
The monk looked at her. "It's also rare for me to fall in love with a woman."
Chu Yue turned her head around. "I don't believe you. I can tell just by looking at you that you're a womanizing monk."
The monk did not look embarrassed. Instead, his gaze turned a little dark.
"Look, is this how a master should look like? You look like a wolf. If you're like this now, you're only going to get worse in the future," Chu Yue said.
"You're the one who teased me until I turned out like this," the monk said.
"Don't change the topic. Promise me that once you become worldly, you will only have me alone," Chu Yue said.
When the monk heard this, he frowned. How could he make such a promise to her? It was impossible for her to be his only wife.
Chu Yue saw it, and she kicked him. The monk was caught off guard, and the hit landed on his stomach. He fell to the side of the bed that was positioned against the wall.
