It was clear that the master was not in a good mood.
When Eunuch Feng came over, he saw that his master was not in a good mood, and he could not understand it.
Yingda knew what happened and why his master felt conflicted. The lady was actually Prince Qin's imperial consort, so she was his niece-in-law.
But right now, with how their relationship had developed, the master was reluctant to give up on her. Yet the person he could not give up on was his niece-in-law…
Hence, it was really troubling.
But even though he knew what was going on, he did not dare to give any sort of advice. And while Eunuch Feng did not know what was going on, Yingda did not intend to tell him.
Hence, since Eunuch Feng was in the dark, he went to search for Chu Yue. After all, ignorance was bliss.
If he knew, even if he had the courage of a lion, he would definitely not try to get himself into the mess.
He went to Chu Yue and told her that his master was very concerned about her and liked her a lot. He asked her not to make him angry but try going along with his master's wishes.
"It's not I who is ignoring the master. The master has grown tired of me and doesn't want me anymore."
Chu Yue spoke in a very aggrieved tone.
Her words were sent back to the monk, and he sighed. This wicked lady… If he were tired of her and did not want her anymore, would he be unable to control himself and visit her late at night?
But the monk did not say anything.
So Eunuch Feng did not dare to say anything else.
He could tell that his master liked the lady, because he had never seen his master keeping someone in his heart in this manner. So what were they quarrelling about this time?
Yingda kept his mouth shut. No matter how Eunuch Feng called for him, he refused to come out.
Eunuch Feng did not dare to stay for long in this sort of situation. Hence, after his master was done reading through the reports, he went back to the palace.
Chu Yue "dreamt" of the monk again the next night.
"Master, I've been having this sort of dream lately. It's not very good, is it?" Chu Yue said.
"It's not very good," the monk said. "I won't come to your dreams tomorrow night."
Chu Yue instantly wanted to cry, and her voice started quaking. "When I went over in the morning, you ignored me. If you don't come at night, what else would I have to look forward to? It would be better for me to die."
"Who is it who said that she wanted to end things with me?" the monk asked.
"If we're going to end things, I'll be the one who ends it. You can't be the one to end it," Chu Yue said in a domineering manner.
The monk said nothing.
"Master, I'm very happy that I was able to dream of you," Chu Yue muttered.
"Come over tomorrow," the monk said.
"I won't go tomorrow," Chu Yue said.
"I thought you said that you missed me?" the monk asked in displeasure.
"I didn't say that I missed you. You're so shameless. I went over to get influenced by Buddha's presence. I didn't go to see you," Chu Yue said stubbornly.
The monk chuckled softly. He knew very well that she only went over because she missed him terribly. He did not need her to admit it.
"Master, are you still not willing to pamper me even in my dreams?" Chu Yue murmured.
The monk said nothing.
"Master, it's almost daylight now. You have to leave," Chu Yue said.
The monk did not go back that night. He only returned when it was early the next morning.
After he left, Chu Yue did not get up. She slept until it was almost seven in the morning. When she opened her eyes, she still smelled the monk's scent by her side.
"You wicked monk," Chu Yue made a sarcastic dig at the monk with a smile on her face.
The night before, she had been tired, but she had still patiently dealt with him. She planned to tempt him until he broke down.
Chu Yue did not intend to go over on that day. She had already gone over yesterday. No matter what, she could not go over so soon. She would think about it tomorrow.
Hence, the monk waited in vain.
He did not expect that the lady would really not go to him after she said that she would not visit him.
It made him angry, and he did not "visit" her in her dreams on that night.
Perhaps it was because he did not "enter" her dreams, for the lady missed him that night. The next morning, she used the excuse of sending snacks to come over once again.
She even cast him tentative glances.
The monk huffed in his heart. He did not sleep well that night, so he was in a bad mood.
Chu Yue pursed her lips and said softly, "Master, I just finished making these snacks. They're still hot. Please eat some."
When the monk saw the fearful look on her face, his heart went out for her, because she looked as if she was worried that he would reject her offer. He cast a glance at the snacks in front of him and picked one to eat it.
It was refreshing and tasty. It was indeed a very tasty snack.
"Is it good?" the lady asked.
"It's pretty good," the monk forced himself to answer.
She smiled then and began insisting to stay at his place. "Master, I'd like to read some scriptures as well."
'Reading scriptures? You have never been one to keep your mind calm. You just want to stay.'
"Which book do you want to read?" he said.
If she wanted to stay, then so be it. Their actions were still restrained by etiquette, so it was fine.
"Whichever is fine," Chu Yue said.
The monk gave her a Heart Cleansing Scripture. Chu Yue pretended to look at it for a moment before she started to sneak peeks at the monk, who was reading seriously.
The monk was seriously very handsome. Every single part of him gave off the damn pheromones, and it tempted her so much that her knees went weak.
If she did not manage to get together with him, she would never be able to get over him.
The monk was a martial artist, so he knew that the lady had started sneaking peeks at him. But he ignored her. No matter what, they could not act as they did in the past.
