After Qin Heng learned of this, he did not say anything for a long time.
He could not blame the woman for saying those words now. She knew that the people from Prince Qin's mansion would come to pick her up, but she did not know of his identity, so she did not want him to fight a hopeless battle.
Qin Heng was silent for a while before he said, "Send Bingye over."
"Understood," Yingda said with a nod.
After Chu Yue left, Qin Heng that his stay in Longan Temple had become dull. Even if he would complete his spiritual training in another month, he had already broken his Buddhist vows. His actions now would not count.
"Get ready to return to the palace," Qin Heng said.
He would be closer to the woman if he was in the palace.
Chu Yue naturally did not know this. She had planned going back on her own, since she knew that she had definitely angered Prince Qin, but she had not expected that Secondary Consort Li would be so impatient. She sent new people right away.
When Chu Yue saw that the people who came over this time were respectful and polite, she accepted their offer and went back.
As for the monk, even though she liked him, it wasn't in her hands. If they were fated to be together, they would stay together, and if they were not, they had to part ways. They had already been together for a while, so now, it was time for them to part ways, and she should do so willingly.
But when she rested in a small town, a girl came to her.
"I am Bingye. The master asked me to come and serve you." The girl had avoided everyone's gazes before she arrived in front of her target.
Chu Yue could easily tell that she was a highly skilled martial artist.
But she was a little surprised. The monk had to have found out what had happened to her, so what was the meaning of this?
Did that mean that he did not want to break ties with her?
Please don't. If they had to break things off with each other, they should. He would not suffer any loss if he did. Please don't bring any trouble to her.
"Bingye, right? Please go back and tell the master that he shouldn't come to me anymore. I… don't want anything to happen to him." Chu Yue scoffed at the monk in her heart, but she smiled in anguish on the surface.
"What exactly could happen to the master?" Bing asked faintly.
Chu Yue looked at her miserably. "The master doesn't know that I am the imperial consort of Great Feng Dynasty's Prince Qin, and right now, I'm coming back to his mansion. That sort of family is not something a commoner like the master can afford to provoke."
'Stupid monk. I won't mention the matter of you thinking about having multiple wives after you become worldly again, but now, you're thinking about stopping me from enjoying the glories and riches of Prince Qin's mansion? You want me, someone who loves materialistic things, to wander around homeless with you? Aren't you dreaming a little too much?'
Bing was clearly a little stunned. The orders she received were just to protect the woman that her master had slept with. She did not know that the woman her master had slept with was Prince Qin's imperial consort!
Could it be that her higher-ups had given her the wrong order?
Bingye retreated for the time being. Then, she was rebuked by Yingda. "I didn't give you the wrong orders. The master asked you to protect Prince Qin's imperial consort!"
Bingye's views of the world and her life, as well as her morals were shattered, but she still knew that she should not ask what she should not. She just needed to do what she needed to do.
Hence, she came back.
"I will be selling myself to bury my father. Ma… Imperial Consort, you just need to buy me tomorrow when you pass me by," Bingye said.
Chu Yue did not want to buy her, yet the monk made it clear that he wanted someone to stay beside her. Hence, Chu Yue said, "Does the master know about my identity?"
"He does," Bingye said.
This matter was very shocking to her, but as a servant, she just needed to listen to orders. She did not need to care about anything else.
"Why did he ask you to come when he knows? Isn't he worried that he will not be able to withstand Prince Qin's anger after he learns of the matter between him and me?" Chu Yue asked.
"The master only asked me to come and serve you properly. I do not know anything else," Bingye said.
Chu Yue cast her a glance. If she did not keep this Bingye around, who knew what else the monk would do?
But this surpassed her expectations a little. She did not expect that he would dare to come to her even after he learned of her status. He had courage, at least. She did not fancy the wrong person.
"If that's the case, then stay," Chu Yue said.
As for what would happen later, she would deal with it later.
Then, on the next day, Chu Yue ran into Bingye selling herself to bury her father. Hence, she bought her.
Hupo pitied Bingye a little. "Since my mistress bought you, so you must serve her well. Don't do something to betray her, or else, we will send you off and sell you to human traffickers."
"Understood," Bingye agreed to it.
Then, she gave the money to a few honest people so that they could bury the old man who had died because of an illness. After that, Bingye left with Chu Yue.
"What's your name?" Hupo asked her.
"Please give me a name, Milady," Bingye said.
"We'll call you Bingye," Chu Yue said casually.
