Three days have passed but Alex seemed in troubled speaking with his classmates.
The last day when Alex tried to make a conversation with someone, he got ignored for some reason. Or maybe his voice was like a whisper that no one would hear it in a few centimeters away.
The big secret was why Alex was using shades on his eyes. Does he has a light sensitivity?
There might be a reason why, or maybe it was his trauma when last year he tried to make a conversation to his old classmates with eye contact, and awkwardly, he dumped on some girls that famous on being beautiful.
Alex remembered that.
When that day he was walking in the hall and he encountered the famous girl walking in the opposite direction. That day when she waved her hand at someone and Alex thought he was the guy who she waving at. However, that girl was waving at a guy who seemed his boyfriend at his back that Alex did not noticed at some point.
She ran with his arms wide open like she was about to hug somebody. Alex appeared to expect it, but his mouth dropped when that girl passed him like she doesn't know him. With his palm was waving, he realized that he wasn't the guy that she waving.
It was a very unfortunate memory.
Alex did learn about it, but in a very bad way.
Instead of moving on at his past, he learned something but different that made him look like this now.
Wearing shades, he may be hiding his eyes just to avoid eye contact and create no mistake again.
(Crap, why did I remember that?)
It was the third day of school and Alex still alone in the darkness.
He has no friends until now and envying students who got friends immediately in just a day.
With his palm clenched, he approached the cafeteria as he came from the other side of the world, which is a slum and the first time that a person saw the beauty of being rich.
He was like a stranger who never entered this kind of situation.
Like he was lost or something.
He was staying, and glancing on the door open and students were entering there. Some of them bringing their lunchbox that covered with a handkerchief.
(...Now what would I do here?)
As he was looking at every student who was eating at the big metallic rectangle tables and enjoying their lunch together with their new friends.
Alex was sweating at his head. He was thinking about what should he order so that the time he could spend here was only a few minutes and walk away in the classroom. Like he was planning to make things faster.
(...I guess I buy sandwiches.)
He finally made something at his mind.
He entered the cafeteria and going straight to the counter.
He ignoring every student at his side with his eye downcast to the tiled floor.
Because of it, he wasn't paying attention to the people in front of him.
He was walking like a child who was infuriated with things that a child didn't want.
Then all of a sudden, because he wasn't paying attention at his front. He collided with one student in front of him. It wasn't that strong, the girl who was standing to the side got hit with Alex's shoulder.
"Ah!"
It was a girl.
She got long hair that reaches her waist.
She immediately turned her back after she felt someone that got bumped to her.
Alex was shocked as he didn't notice it.
"Wahhh!!! So-sorry! I'm not paying attention! IT'S MY FAULT!!!"
He said anxiously with his head down as he apologized. He kept bowing and repeating the word "I'm sorry.".
Alex was having an anxiety attack right now. He was probably thinking that this girl was mad after someone knocked her that made her startled a bit.
"Ehh!? N-no! It was also my fault, hehe." She said in a very calm voice. Her voice was apparently cute. "I was on your way so it's my fault for standing."
Alex was surprised. He thought that she would be angry, but she didn't. She was relaxed with her cute voice made Alex calmed a bit. He lifts his head as he was curious at this girl that made him calmed for all of his anxiety.
The girl noticed his shades, and she was curious about it.
"Uhhmm. What's up with those shades?"
"AH!" He was startled, for no reason. But for the first time, he finally entered the states of life called "Conversation". "Ahhhh... I have light sensitivity, hehe."
But apparently, Alex appeared to lied. His smile wasn't normal, but it's similar to a person who told a lie.
"Ohh! That's a very rare situation." She talked back.
"Did you know that person, Livia?"
An unknown person heard by Alex. Then another girl that appeared was a friend of the girl named "Livia" as she mentioned.
Alex looked at her back. Alex was surprised at some point.
Her face was very familiar.
The girl behind Livia was wearing a white robe and the sleeves were a bit wide.
Alex remembered.
Three days ago that Alex was riding his bike, he glanced a white-haired girl below the bridge and next to the river that she suddenly appeared like she got out from the invisible portal.
(That girl!)
Livia turned her back. "Oh, nothing, Cate. It's just some guy who accidentally knocked me a bit. There's no big deal here."
"Then I go now." Said Alex and walked away like nothing happened.
The girl that Alex glanced before looked at him directly with curious eyes and followed him until he stopped at the counter.
"Do you know that guy?" Asked Livia.
"I feels like I saw him somewhere. Nevermind, it's probably a waste of time thinking of it." Cate said and walked away. "Let's go now. We already finished our lunch today. It was good."
Livia walked away also with Cate.
Alex placed his pocket money at the counter and said immediately. "Three sandwiches please!"

Alex was walking in the hallway after buying sandwiches at the cafeteria.
Surprisingly, he wasted only one minute in the counter and he left immediately. Like everything was on his plan or something he think of it deeply.
(I heard that the roof was an unpopular place to eat lunch. Maybe it was my perfect place to eat alone.)
Due to the climate today, it was hot every lunchtime. It became unpopular since no one wanted to be sweaty from the direct sunlight. People would likely have an unpleasant smell after they left there for a long period of time, that was also why they don't have like that place. Maybe it was a perfect place for him. All he needed was to hide from the shadows to avoid direct sunlight.
He was now climbing up the stairs, holding a paper bag that inside were sandwiches that he ordered last minute ago. He was holding it on his chest with his arm crossed.
It took him a few minutes of climbing up from the second floor and the roof was on the fifth floor.
He stopped at the door where behind it was the roof where he wanted to eat his sandwiches in a quiet place. It still there's a blazing heat from the sunlight.
He turned the doorknob and open it.
But he suddenly noticed at the glass in the middle of the door that there were two people who were talking.
Alex was shocked that the first person he saw was the girl before who was wearing a robe-like that reach her ankle.
He just saw her before like a 4 minutes ago, but she was here.
It was odd. If she was here before him, he should notice him at least once at the hall where he was finding his way to the roof, but he did not.
Alex was interested in their conversation. So he lightly open the door just enough to hear their voices.
He then heard the girl speak with pride.
"Yes. I am that person..."
