Before the crowd dispersed, Alusec had already left with Briella. He held her hand flying towards the Den they were headed to earlier.
The elder and spectators were still feeling shocked about the way the duel ended.
This wasn't what they were expecting.
Elder Bayi stared at the destruction of the arena with the barrier and grumbled internally.
The materials used to make the arena was from very scarce resources. It would cost the clan a bit to restructure. The barrier was supposed to suppress the strengths of their attacks and yet here they were.
He stared at the deep crater inside the arena, "How was he able to defeat them... with the level of strength they showcased, even sun transformation level cultivators would have to be wary, just who is this young man named Alusec?"
Elder Bayi in his thoughts had forgotten about the three clan geniuses injured.
A sub-elder came up to him and asked, "Elder Bayi, how should we proceed with the three geniuses?"
The question brought him back to reality and he flew towards the arena, scolding the sub-elder about his shallow thinking, "Were you waiting for the sound of a trumpet before knowing that you should take them to the Medical court,"
Sub-elder : "..." 'But you also stood there and did nothing.'
Elder Bayi made a call with his communication amulet and after a few minutes, some people on blue garments arrived taking the three injured geniuses away.
...
At this moment Alusec and Briella had arrived at the den and were flying above an enormous sea of beasts, headed towards the hundred meters tall mountain in the distance.
The cultivation of the beasts ranged from kan level to esei level. There was only one earth transformation level beast here and according to Briella, it kept the other beasts in check.
After flying for about ten minutes they arrived at the mountain and flew towards the back.
There was a cave-like opening with a cliff about twenty meters above the ground level of the mountain.
Alusec flew into the opening with Briella which was as spacious as a long hall.
They walked towards the end of the opening and saw the back of a slim lady with silver-colored long hair facing the wall.
The lady turned around after sensing their presence and smiled, "Father, did you come to release me?" She said excitedly after noticing the man in dark robes and Briella beside him.
The lady was none other than Ivrena who mistook Alusec for her father since the cave was a bit dark.
"No! This is a very nice apartment and it suits you a lot, there's no need for you to leave here," Alusec replied with a grin, making Ivrena come to a realization.
"You!" She said while pointing her index finger at Alusec, "What are you doing here? Did you come to gloat?" Ivrena said with her fingers trembling in anger.
"Maybe," Alusec said with a light laughter
"You.." Ivrena was about to explode in anger when Briella stepped in.
"Big sis have you forgotten that he saved us," Briella said while staring at her sister fiercely, "When did you become so hard-headed that you've forgotten how to show appreciation, don't forget that your stubbornness was what caused everything in the first place," Briella reminded Ivrena, making the words that she wanted to say die in her throat.
She stared down in embarrassment unable to look her junior sister in the eyes. She knew she was at fault for putting herself and her sister in danger but she didn't understand why seeing Alusec face always made her feel vexed. She thought about it properly and realized that she was actually jealous. Alusec was supposed to be lower than her in cultivation strength but not only did he survived being in the ocean, his presence also scared the sea monsters that almost ended the life of she and her sister away.
Alusec saw the look of conflict on her face and immediately figured out what she was thinking, "You don't need to think any less of yourself," He said while studying her, "Your constitution is pretty good and from my observations, you would be able to defeat even those higher than you in terms of cultivation but..." Alusec paused and stared at her intensely.
Ivrena heart skipped a beat from the intense stare he was giving her, "Don't ever compare yourself to me thinking you can ever be my opponent... we're not in the same league little one!" Alusec completed his statement while moving forward to stand several centimeters away from Ivrena.
For some reason, Ivrena believed that the words he spoke wasn't just superficial. When she remembered the scene of him blocking her father's attack without taking any damage, she only had one word for him, "Monster!"
Alusec raised his right palm and placed it on Ivrena's forehead.
Ivrena wanted to move back to dodge thinking he wanted to attack her for her rudeness but when Alusec palm touched her forehead she realized that nothing happened, "What are y..." She wanted to question him when she heard him say, "Stand still and don't move, I want to inspect something," Alusec said and closed his eyes.
Briella stared at Alusec wondering what he was up to.
After Alusec closed his eyes a serene glow surrounded Ivrena's forehead making her mind enter into a trance-like mode.
Her eyes turned listless as her pupils look unfocused like that of a doll.
"Ivrena!"
Briella called out to her sister feeling a bit worried after seeing her state.
"Don't worry your sister is fine, do not disturb until I'm through unless you want her to become a mindless doll," Alusec voice echoed in her mind.
She wanted to ask what exactly he was doing but she recalled him saying not to be disturbed so she threw her questions to the back of her mind for the time being.
She decided to wait until he was done.
