Dan
"Dani. How many times must I tell you that I don't want to go to that 'magical' ice mountain?" I asked annoyed at my twin sister for bringing it up "Besides, I thought you didn't believe in magic."
"I NEED to go and investigate it and I NEED someone to protect me." she giggled.
"..." I initiated a break of silence as if contemplating life.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Fine, I'll come..." I baited.
"Finally!" she exclaimed "I thought you'd never decide!"
"But I'm only coming if I can invite Freda and Sam." I smirked as I completed my sentence.
"I-"
"They can come right"
Then our mother called out from the kitchen: "Pack your things kiddos, we're all going to Mt. Kalte for your vacation."
"So basically it's a draw?" I asked with a smirk.
"No! I refuse to share victory with you!" Dani shouted.
"Sooo, Rock-Paper-Scissors?" I suggested.
"Fine."
---
"One more round." I begged.
"Kay!" Dani smirked.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors, Go!" "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot!" We synchronized.
I shot out a scissors but before I could even say a word, Dani crushed my fingers with her fist.
"Gah!" I cried "How did you win 20 times out of 20?!?"
Then before Dani could even say a word, our mom called out, "Dinner is ready!"
We raced to the kitchen - I won - and enjoyed the feast of a meal our mom prepared for us. Little did I know, it would be a long time before I'd be able to eat like this again.
**A week later***
After packing our things for a stay in a lodge at the mountain, Dani, our mom and I headed towards our school, where we planned a rendezvous with Freda and Sam's families, to pick up our friends.
"Sup!" I called when I saw them.
"Hello!" Freda waved.
"Ohio!" Sam answered before correcting himself "Sup!"
Freda and I began to laugh a bit at our friend's mistake but it was all in good fun.
They said goodbye to their parents and we headed out.
When we arrived at the base of the hill, it was barely breaking in to dawn. So we decided to climb it on foot instead of driving up. We ended up finishing the snacks I had packed because it was exhausting.
"Told you we'd need extra snacks." Dani giggled.
"Shut!" I retorted.
When we arrived at the lodge, we decided to play some games to pass the time away.
Eventually, Freda decided we'd learn some Japanese because "Learning is always a good thing. Even if it seems boring."
Dani tried to escape with a "I already know Japanese" but Freda countered her with a slap and "Anime subbed doesn't make you understand Japanese."
Later that night, we decided to lie down and admire the stars.
We stayed there for a few hours just chatting and enjoying the view when suddenly, Sam decided to interrupt us: "Can we go inside and eat?"
"No." "NO!!!" "Later."
"B-but I-I'm h-hungry a-and i-it's-" Sam started.
"Look buddy, we'll go and eat later. Right now, we're enjoying the stars." I reasoned.
"A-alright!" Sam wiped his eyes.
"Kids." Dani muttered.
"Shut up or I'll tell Free!" I whispered.
Dani rubbed her cheek and stopped talking. But not before retorting "It's not like you would."
'Sometimes I feel like involving a ten year old in the activities of sixteen year olds is odd. But it's better than letting the child be bullied and alone. If only he was less innocent then I wouldn't feel bad about it.' I thought to myself.
"Dan, I need to goooooooo." Sam began.
"Stop whining and go. I'll be there soon." I sighed.
I hugged Freda, kissed her on the cheek and told her to watch over Dani. Before heading over to 'protect Sam from the monsters'.
---
The next day was a strange one at the time.
There were strange storm clouds slowly approaching us so I told my mother.
My mother told me that there weren't any storms forecasted so she would have to go alert the nearby authorities to make sure people were safe from what could potentially be a freak storm.
"Please stay inside and keep everyone safe, okay!" my mom made me promise.
"You can count on me!" I smirked as she ran.
Within seconds of her leaving, I dragged everyone inside the lodge and took charge.
"Our mom went somewhere so I'm in charge for now."
"Why are you in charge? Free is older so she should be in charge!" Dani complained.
"Your mother put him in charge so I see no problems." Freda retorted.
"Let's build a fort." I suggested before they could walk out.
"Why?" Dani asked.
"Because I want to." I lied "And you have to listen because I'm in charge."
"Box Fort!!!" Sam whooped and began building a fort out of boxes.
Freda and I began to laugh while Dani slapped her forehead as if she was losing brain cells.
I wish the peace lasted longer.

M-mistress was not happy about the results she was receiving. For one, she still couldn't destroy the Dragon's Heart. And for two, her nephew and niece were getting closer to unlocking their Core Energies. And once they did, she'd have to kill them to be able to access the Dragon's Heart.
She used her Devil Core Energy to summon an army but since the cards show only her weakest monsters are in it, she most likely wanted to knock them out.
"You do know what you're doing is wrong K." her twin brother condemned.
"I do." she replied coldly.
"Shall I release the army?" I interrupted their squabble.
"Yes." my mistress commanded with a devilish grin.
"I'll send the Grugnons then." I replied.
"Damn it." her twin cried before dashing away towards the location of his kids.
