Festivity Mall
Inside the crowded mall were three people who walked through the crowd like they were on a runway. Their strides were like magnets, drawing the attention of passersby who couldn't help but give them a second glance. They were captivating and mysterious. Their mixed auras gave off their personalities; cold, jovial and deadly. Despite their masks and glasses, they seem to attract more than they bargained for.
The three who were being ogled at were oblivious to the stares and continued to stay in their own world. While one was happy and excited the other two were bored and tired. They had just entered the mall five minutes ago but it felt like they had been here for hours.
"Don't you dare think you can run away!"
Anastasia snapped as she walked backwards with folded arms. Her eyes were trained on Kyle who happened to be thinking of a way to escape. Unfortunately, he was caught before he could execute his plan.
"I wasn't thinking about that."
Kyle lied smoothly. He turned his head to look at the stores that were slowly disappearing from his view as he continued to walk to God knows where.
Anastasia continued to walk backwards while swinging her hands. She glared at Kyle before looking at the other silent being who hadn't said a word since they entered the mall.
"And you. I can't even seem to imagine what must be going on in that big head of yours."
Anastasia tilted her head and stared at Esmeralda. If it were someone else, they would have forgotten that there was a third party involved. She was invisible and like it that way.
Esmeralda tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Her small gesture was graceful and captivating. Even in a black hoodie and sweats, she was still eye catching. She tucked her hands into her pocket and ignored Anastasia's statement.
"If you slip and fall I won't care and I'll pretend like nothing happened."
She was referring to Anastasia who was walking backwards with no care of falling and breaking her bones.
Kyle let out a small laugh at his sister's savage words. His laughter abruptly stopped due to the glare from Anastasia. "It isn't my fault that your sister is so savage!" he wanted to yell but he knew better than to voice out his thoughts.
They strided into a clothing store and began searching for clothes. More like Anastasia was the one searching and the other two were simply following her like lost puppies. It felt like Anastasia was the mother who brought her two reluctant kids to buy new clothes.
"What do you think about this one?"
Anastasia asked excitedly as she shoved a plain white strapless gown into Esmeralda's hand. She was high on excitement.
Esmeralda raised the hanger up and stared at the dress, an unknown scowl appeared. "The day I wear this type of dress would be the day I loose my mind." she said as a matter of fact.
Kyle laughed hard and wheezed. He bent down and slapped his thighs repeatedly. He didn't know he would get to see this side of his stone hearted sister. So hilarious!
"Asia, Asia, Asia..." He shook his head like a wise old man. "Nana doesn't wear this type of dresses. She prefers no revealing and no glittering. You supposed to know that."
"I know that, idiot!" Anastasia snapped and continued "But I thought she would change her mind after all this years." She squinted her eyes and observed her sister who stood still holding the dress up like a mannequin, unmovable and uncaring.
"Keep on thinking."
Kyle scoffed.
"I'm standing right here, you know."
Esmeralda reminded her siblings who were gossiping about her in her presence. She tossed the dress at Anastasia who caught it effortlessly and walked away. She was about to turn towards the next rack but bumped into a small figure. She gazed down at the figure and her eyes caught the familiar person she had become friends with.
"Auntie Snow-white!"
Ezekiel's eyes shined brightly as he stared at the woman he had yearned to see for the past few weeks. He had begged his father to let him see her but his father would always disagree by saying "She is a stranger whom you met some days ago." He had also been in contact with her but she rarely answered any of his calls or texts.
"Ezekiel, how are you?"
Esmeralda helped the little boy up to his feet. She didn't know why meeting this boy always made her feel weird. He was respectful and looked responsible. But she felt attached to him in some kind of siblings way.
"I'm fine. What about you?"
"I'm good. Lost again?"
The little boy bent his head and nodded.
Esmeralda sighed and looked around but couldn't find any sign of his uncle. She didn't understand why they were always meeting in situations like this.
The little panda stretched forth his hands towards her. She knew what he wanted and completely obliged to his request. She bent down and carried the boy in her arms before walking towards her siblings who were arguing about something. When they saw her they stopped arguing and their deadly stares turned into that of a surprised look.
"Hello uncle Kyle. Hello auntie." The little panda greeted Kyle with enthusiasm, but all that changed to a shy expression as he stared at Anastasia who blinked at him. Why were all the people associated with this auntie beautiful?
"The siblings both snapped out of their daze and smiled at the little boy with a cute and handsome face. Anastasia couldn't help but coo in the inside and felt her ovaries screaming. She wouldn't mind giving birth to a child as handsome as this little guy.
"Hello buddy."
Kyle greeted the little boy with a smile behind his mask.
"So handsome!" Anastasia cooed while looking at the boy. She had a urge to pinch his cheek but restrained herself.
Ezekiel could sense the woman's stares on him and he became shy to the point that he hid his pink face at the crook of Esmeralda's neck.
