"And where do you think you are heading to?"
Anastasia asked with folded hands, a spatula on one. If she didn't come out of the kitchen just in time to catch her sister sneaking out then, she doesn't know what would happen.
"Can't I go out without being interrogated?" Esmeralda answered. Sometimes she wished that Anastasia could just disappear.
"Atleast I deserve to know, just Incase." Anastasia raised an eyebrow not backing down.
"I'm going to the mountain."
"Alright, just be careful I don't want to worry about getting you out of jail." Anastasia joked
"I'll try."

Violetta climbed the steep mountain unhurried. With the thick trees and bushes, she wasn't scared about being attacked or kidnapped. The place was isolated and not many people often come here at night.
Stopping at the foot of the mountain she saw the familiar figure siting on the stone. It felt like Deja Vu. She took small steps towards the rock and sat down, lifting her head she gazed at the night sky with a serene feeling.
Dominique turned his head to look at the woman he had become familiar with. She was still as beautiful as the time they first met. Her white hair fluttering with the wind... She was unimaginable.
"I was expecting you."
"You are always expecting me." Esmeralda ran a hand through her hair and sighed. She felt light as she breathe in the fresh air.
"You know me too well." He commented. He stared at her hand that rested on the smooth surface on the rock. It was white and slender. He had am urge to hold her hand but he didn't know how she would react and besides, they were still in the friendship phase so he couldn't make any rash decisions. One step at a time.
"Thank you for saving my nephew."
"You don't need to show any form of gratitude. He is my friend and I am willing to help a friend." Esmeralda answered thinking of the little panda.
Dominique nodded his head. He now realized that she was a keeper and one who values relationships. "Are you free tomorrow night?"
"Why?"
"I was wondering if I can take you to dinner." Dominique said anticipating her reaction. He was hoping she would agree.
Esmeralda now laid her full attention on Dominique. "So sudden?"
"Well it's been days since we met so why not." Dominique answered. This woman was really hard to impress from his observation.
Esmeralda raised her brow and scoffed. It wouldn't hurt to agree but she couldn't just agree easily.
"If I accept, how will you guarantee that the press without catch us? You are a public figure who shakes the city and being seen with you might stir up unnecessary rumors."
Dominique laughed internally. This woman was thinking of ways to avoid going to dinner with him. "I can give you a hundred percent guarantee that we would be safe from the press, all you have to do is agree."
Esmeralda looked at Dominique for a long time before nodding her head. She didn't want to make things hard for him.
"OK."
"Really?" Dominique let out a big smile.
"Should I take my answer back?" Esmeralda asked with a small smirk barely noticeable but Dominique noticed.
"Alright, tomorrow it is then. I'll pick you up by six." If he could dance then he would have turned the clear path to his dance floor.
"No need. Just send me the address I'll be there." Esmeralda objected. She didn't want him to know where she leaves, having his nephew over was enough she didn't want any unwanted welcome.
"Oh," Dominique felt disappointed but he didn't question her demand and just accepted. "OK."
Esmeralda shifted her gaze back to the sky. She remembered how her mother would always bring her to their balcony and stare at the sky for a long time. It was her favorite moment back then and it still is now.
"Despite being friends and being with each other for sometime I feel like I don't you well enough." Dominique said the one thing that was on his mind since morning. Everytime he looked at her she always felt mysterious.
"You can never know a person entirely." Esmeralda answered. In this life you can't vouch for someone with the excuse of knowing them to their bones. People change anywhere and anytime and she learnt this the hard way. Life was and is still tough, you just have to make the most out of it and work harder. This was what she was taught for the past twenty five years of her life.
"What if I want to?" Dominique was intrigued at this woman's intellect. He was happy to know that he wasn't attracted to a brainless bimbo.
"You can't." Esmeralda said with a smirk.
Dominique smiled. He decided to let this go for another day. His plan was falling into place.
"I guess it's time for me to leave, Dominique." Esmeralda got up and dusted her clothes. She didn't want to stay out late to avoid seeing her face on the news for a "Missing Person" report.
Dominique also stood up and took two steps closer to her. Now that he had gotten close he could inhale the sweet scent coming out of her body. She smell... Nice. Looking at her he could see the moon in her emerald green orbs. They were beautiful.
Esmeralda turned to notice that Dominique was just an arm's length away from her. She raised her head to stare at his face. His steel gray orbs were staring at her with an unwavering gaze.
"I'll be going now. See you whenever fate decides."
She turned around and climbed down the hill leaving the tall man staring at her disappearing figure with longing.
Dominique smirked. Now he had a dinner date to plan. He just hopes that everything will turn out positive tomorrow considering this was his first time doing such a thing. He looked back at the moon and sighed. It wasn't even a minute and he was already missing her company. Was this how it felt when you liked someone? Always want to be with them despite the circumstances?
