"Maybe he didn't want to reveal himself and decided to stay hidden. Some people value their private life more than anything."
Esmeralda said as she thanked the waiter who brought their meal over. A small smirk played on her pink lips.
"You are right. But he will have to reveal himself at some point, till then I just hope I won't be disappointed."
Dominique said
"Trust me, you won't be."
Hearing her comment Dominique gaze settled on her beautiful face. He was skeptical of the woman sitting there. She was full of secrets and each secret could be deadly and eerie. He had taken a look at her file when his father ordered his brothers to investigate her background. Suspicion, that was what he felt.
"Tell me something else about you. Your family perhaps."
Esmeralda took a small sip from her wine. She didn't touch her food yet and settled for the glass of richness in her hand. She dropped the glass on the table. Her movement was elegant and refined just like that of a noble.
"I'm the only child of my parents, an orphan to be precise." She lied smoothly without blinking.
It wasn't like she was going to tell him anything confidential about her and her household. She didn't even tell her best friends about her brother so why him.
"I didn't know." Dominique said calmly. He wasn't used to giving or saying words of comfort. He liked strong people who don't let their weaknesses get to them. But somehow he was willing to give this woman a shoulder to lean on. He wanted her to be dependent on him in the future and always call when she needs him.
"It's alright. Let's dig in before the food gets cold." Esmeralda grabbed her cutlery and began eating.
Dominique also followed suit.
Later
"Thank you for the dinner." Esmeralda said as they took a little stroll outside the restaurant. Her hands were tucked away in the comfort of her pocket giving it warmth to the cold weather.
Dominique walked beside the woman matching her steps. He didn't want this night to end but unfortunately it has to. He was happy and satisfied that their dinner went well.
"You don't need to thank for me anything. By the way, where do you work?"
The wind caressed his face and played with his hair. He was handsome and talented. What good combination could a woman not want in a man. He was aware of his good looks from the start but ever since he met this woman he was beginning to doubt his facials. She gave off the impression that she wasn't interested in him from the start, but he consoled himself with the fact that they just met and couldn't rush things.
"I'm a freelance writer." Esmeralda shrugged.
"Interesting. Haven't you ever thought of getting a job in a company since you studied business administration?" He was hinting that if she needed a job then he was more than willing to give it to her if she asks.
"I'm not interested. I like my freedom." She simply answered.
They stopped by her car and turned to face each other keeping a good distance from one another. Esmeralda rested her back on the door and tilted her head at the big man.
"I guess this is where our journey for tonight ends." Dominique managed to squeeze the words out. If it was left for him he would have abducted this woman and locked her in his house.
Esmeralda nodded.
"I'll see you some other time, Dominique."
She turned around and opened her door before getting in.
Dominique took a step back and watched the car come to life before speeding away. His gaze lingered on the empty street before sighing and walking back to where he left his subordinates.
The men saw their boss walking towards them in a fast pace and quickly scrambled to get into position. They noticed that the happy glow was now replaced with frost.
"To the company."
They heard him say before entering the car.
They looked at each other before entering their various cars and driving to their destination.
In a bar on the outskirts of the city, a woman with pale skin was sitting down in the VIP section with her legs crossed and arms spread on the couch.
Her appearance made people dazed for a moment watching her beautiful face as she tilted her head to the side. She was a dove exuding dominance and authority like that of an eagle. Her emerald eyes skimmed through the crowd and landed on the stage where a group of dancers performed.
She stretched forth towards the table, her eyes not leaving the stage and grabbed the drink before leaning back on the couch.
The people around could not help but take a look at what she was so interested in on stage, forgetting their purpose, and saw that she was looking at the dancer with red hair and a body to die for moving her hips in a snake like motion.
"Damn! This woman is really good. Capturing the attention of both men and women."
The red hair dancer noticed the piercing gaze and turned to look at the white hair woman sitting down in the VIP section. She smirked and continued dancing seductively without a care.
Esmeralda smirked at the woman's action. and curved her index finger at the woman. Urging her to come closer.
The people saw the exchange and felt envious. They watched the red hair dancer sway her hips towards the woman and sat down on her lap.
"This woman is so beautiful. But too bad, she likes women."
Everyone saw this and sighed before going back to what they were doing.
Mean while,
In a secluded section, a man who sat close to another man could not help but gape at the scene. He rubbed his eyes quickly and opened them again to see if he was dreaming.
"Damn! I can't believe I'm seeing this."
