On the surface Dominique looked calm but inside he was having mixed emotions. Wasn't this the woman who had dinner with him an hour ago? If he didn't know better he would have thought that that woman he saw just now was her look alike. Was she into women? Was that why she didn't spare him a lasting glance? He didn't know.
His train of thoughts were disrupted when he saw her getting up and being dragged by the red hair dancer. His eyes followed them until he could no longer see them.
Timothy could feel the dark aura emitting from his brother. The calm before the storm.
Finally the big man turned and faced his siblings with a cold gaze making the two flinch.
"When did she arrive?"
"Thirty minutes ago." They both answered like obedient children.
"How many drinks did she have?"
"One."
Dominique nodded his head. He was happy she was not drunk but he was still bothered. Did she like women? Or both?
"Who's the dancer?"
"Isabella West." Timothy answered.
Jake looked at him with a surprised look. How did he know her real name?
Timothy avoided the look from Jake. He could already read the question from his facial expression.
"Get her information on my desk tomorrow morning."
Dominique said. He took a seat on one of the empty chairs and crossed his legs with his hands on his chin. He was in deep thoughts. He decided to stay and wait for Esmeralda. Maybe a little talk with her would ease this feeling of anxiousness.
Timothy and Jake were surprised to see that their dearest brother didn't leave in anger but sat down as if he was waiting for someone. Was he waiting for her? Since when did Dominique Stone wait for a woman?
Inside the private room
Esmeralda was busy going through some documents which included information on the man that was killed some days ago.
"So are you saying that this man, was involved in a cult?"
"Yes. We discovered this information some days ago."
Isabella said gathering some more papers and putting it on the oak table in front of the woman. She stood by the side and watched the white hair woman glance through paper to paper swiftly. She was amazed at the speed this woman used to work efficiently. An idol she admire.
"So what does this have to do with the one who hired him?" Esmeralda didn't know how this connected to their present search.
Isabella was quiet for a minute and averted her gaze from her boss. "Uhm... we just thought you would want to know." She whispered the last part silently.
Esmeralda raised her brow and sighed. Well she couldn't blame them when she was the one who asked for information on that man. She leaned back on her chair and sighed again. They had finally gotten a lead after two years but now, it was more difficult than before.
"What about his family? Are they safe?"
"They're safe and back at their house. The body was delivered yesterday and we offered them a huge compensation." Isabella reported.
Esmeralda nodded her head and said " Good. Make sure there is no traces and the police doesn't get involved."
"Yes, boss." Isabella nodded
Esmeralda got up and pocketed her hands before walking towards the door.
Isabella followed behind like a lost puppy. She looked at this woman with heart full of admiration and appreciation. She didn't even know what made this woman accept her and made her one of her followers in the first place. She was not strong and was slow at doing things. She felt incompetent but now, since she began working for this woman she didn't feel inferior.
"Is anyone troubling you?"
Isabella heard the woman who stopped by the door and was now facing her. At first she didn't understand what the woman was asking about but after she saw the raised brow on the woman's beautiful face she finally understood what she was asking about.
"No. My Bay makes sure no harm comes to me and always attend to my needs." Isabella said with a smile on her red lips.
"Okay. If there is any problem you come to me. "
Esmeralda turned around and exited the office. She didn't bother meeting Mr Bay, the manager, to check the accounts. She knew he wouldn't be stupid enough to steal from her. The bar wasn't her main project but a side one to get her a few extra cash for maintenance. She had built it a year ago and it became famous after a month of opening, making the place difficult to enter without a reservation.
Out of nowhere, a thin man rushed towards the two ladies who were walking down the hall slowly. He stopped in front of them and panted, his handkerchief wiping his forehead and neck. When he got the information that the big boss was here he didn't wait a minute before running out of his office to look for her. He wondered why she was here all of a sudden.
"Boss, you're here. How about I escort you to your office?" Mr Bay said with a sweet voice.
"The boss already went to her office."
It was then Mr Bay looked at the other woman behind the big boss. Why is she here?
"Aren't you supposed to be dancing, Isabella? Why are you here?" Mr Bay questioned, he didn't want to anger the big boss in anyway.
"I called her, is there a problem?" Esmeralda green eyes sent a piercing glare towards the thin man.
Mr Bay felt his knees buckle and threaten to give up. She was a woman and yet she handles things like a man. A demon, that's what she is.
He quickly sent a smile before trying to avoid the icicles coming his way. "No boss, I was only concerned. Is there anything I can do for you since you are here?" Mr Bay changed the topic and smiled widely like a Cheshire cat. He needed to curry favour from this woman or else his days of living in luxury will be over.
