"Aunt Flora, tell me something do you miss me or you are happy that you got freedom from all my tantrums?" Louisa asked arching her brows
Louisa's smile faded out when Flora gave her a serious stare
"Aunt Flora, where are you going?" Louisa questioned as soon as Flora stood on her legs and took a few steps
"Why should I stay here?" Flora said seriously and continued, "To answer your stupid questions?"
Louisa understood that her question has triggered emotions in her Aunt Flora. She walked fast and stopped Flora, and made her sit back on the couch
"Aunt Flora, please don't be upset. I just asked casually," she said leaning towards Flora
"Casually? Everything is casual to you Louisa but not for me. You have casually left the house vowing that you won't come back. You have casually taken the decisions which had hurt you, you have casually forgotten me and now you have casually put up the question," Flora said with anger but her voice broke in the middle
Louisa understood the emotions behind her Aunt Flora's anger. She went on to her knees and held Flora's chin up with her tender hands
"Aunt Flora, I am sorry to have hurt you by asking this question and I am sorry for making you miss me but I am not at all sorry for leaving this house because I had to do that. I don't know what would have been my position if I would have continued staying here. Even now, I don't want to stay here but I am doing it only because of Dad. Every minute I spend here all those memories are creating a turmoil inside me," Louisa answered with tears in her eyes
Flora looked at Louisa who is trying hard to stop the tears from letting them fall down her eyes.
"I am sorry Louisa; I just said whatever came to my mind without thinking. Sorry for hurting you," Flora said lifting Louisa from the floor
Flora made Louisa sit on the couch and Louisa started speaking "No Aunt Flora, you would never hurt me intentionally, I know that and here your anger is justified. I am so stupid to walk away from here without taking you with me. But trust me I missed you every minute and I have missed you the most, more than anyone else"
"I know that my Lou loves me and don't be sad now. But why haven't you called me in the past years? Both of the houses have amazing telecommunication network right?" Flora questioned
"Yes, that's true. But I was so busy with the responsibilities and with all the new projects that I rarely got any free time. I am spending nearly 16 hours in the office itself. I am immersing myself in the work to stay away from the thoughts which are ready to consume me anytime. I barely speak to Dad too," Louisa explained to Flora
"Everything is okay, but I am not convinced about you not calling me back. Didn't you get a free hour in the last few years? What about the weekends? You have many appointments but can't you schedule one phone call to your Aunt Flora at least once a month?" Flora questioned
Louisa has no answer to reply. She knew that she is at wrong here. She wanted to speak to her Aunt Flora many times but she never rang the phone as she didn't want someone as spying their calls.
"I accept that I have done the wrong thing, Aunt Flora. I haven't called you because I am scared that I can't say a 'no' to you if you would have asked me to come back here. So that stopped me from calling you," Louisa replied
Louisa only said the half-truth and skipped the other part where she feared about someone trying to spy their calls. However, she can't say that to her because she knew that her naive Aunt Flora would never believe in those things
"Aunt Flora, please accept my apology," Louisa asked when she didn't get a reply from Flora
"I will accept your apology only if you promise me that you will call me at least once a month," Flora put forth her demand
"I promise you that I will surely do that but for that, you need mobile of your own," Louisa replied
"Why? That's absolutely not necessary. This place has telephones all over the place, then what is the need for me to get a new mobile? No one will ever call me other than you and you have access to all the phones over here. So I don't need one," Flora replied
"No Aunt Flora, I want you to have your own mobile for yourself which will be only used for our conversations and messages. I want to gift you that as that will stay as a memory for both of us," Louisa replied as she knows the only way to make her Aunt Flora accept anything is through emotional connect
"Okay then, but I don't want anything fancy. I just need a normal mobile in which I can have unlimited conversations with my darling Lou," Flora replied
Louisa gave a bright smile and hugged her. She is happy as she now has found a solution to speak to her Aunt Louisa without their conversation getting recorded. All she has to do is to secure Flora's number and their conversations so that no one can crack that and she has a hell lot of expertise in that
"I will place the order right now," Louisa said getting up from the couch excited
"No Lou, what is the urgency now? You are going to stay at least for a few more days, so we can do that later," Flora said stopping Louisa
"I want to do it now," Louisa said pouting
"No Darling, it's already midnight and you need a tight sleep. Let's get to the bed now. We can schedule other things for tomorrow," Flora replied smiling
---------
"How is she feeling now?" Oliver asked the staff present near his wife's room
"We have given her the prescribed medication Sir, she will be alright by tomorrow morning," one of the female staff said looking down
Oliver nodded at her and started walking towards his wife's room. He was about to open the doorknob but abruptly stopped by the female staff
"Sir, Madam has ordered us to let no one in. She said that she wants no disturbance and even the doctor suggested that. So it would be good if you meet her tomorrow," she said not meeting his eyes
"It's okay. I am not going to disturb her. I just want to see my wife who is not in her good state. I want to peck her forehead without disturbing her, would that be a problem for you?" He asked
He sounded normal yet the girl got scared listening to Oliver Miller's voice that closely. She just nodded nervously and he opened the doorknob
Oliver entered the room, when the girl was about to close the door he stopped it by placing a hand in the middle
He asked her to come a little closer. She followed his order even though she was petrified. He looked closely at her while she gulped hard. His eyes looking sharply at her increased her nervousness to ten folds.
"You are very good at your work. You have followed your Madam's order so well that you have tried to stop me from entering the place. This kind of people is rare and I appreciate you for that. I am impressed with your work and you will surely be rewarded for this," he said with a small smile
The girl who was petrified to even stand near him got the biggest shock after listening to his words. Her lips curled into a smile and the nervousness totally left her.
"Thank you so much, Sir. I will always try to give my best," she said grinning wide and he nodded smiling at her before closing the door.
