Kajus sat down on his normal seat which was the furthest in next to his sister and next to the window facing his dad.
"When is Liv waking up?"
"About now, she is probably getting dressed," his father responded.
"ok, I made enough money to send Liv to university," Kajus happily exclaimed.
Olaf dropped his newspaper and stared at his smiling son while Dina stopped her cooking and also stared at her son.
"really?!" they both exclaimed at the same time.
Kajus dropped his large sack in front of them and handed them 550 gold coins "yes"
They both had opened mouths while staring at the pile of gold "its really true" they both muttered.
Dina smiled and said "thank you" while Olaf coughed and kept reading his newspaper.
"LIV GET DOWN HERE, FOOD IS READY" Dina yelled
Olaf put the pile of money away in a sack.
"thank you son, you can tell Liv yourself."
Heavy stomping was heard above them signaling that Liv was coming down to eat.
Kajus broke out a huge smile but he was also quite nervous.
"MOOM did you make that sweet apple sauce for the oatmeal this time" a cute voice was heard right outside the kitchen.
As she entered the kitchen she jumped with shock a little, she was greeted with a big smile and "Hello little sister"
"Big brother?! When did you arrive?" she said
As she stared at him she noticed the big scar on his face, her face turned bleak and a small eeek noise was heard.
"what happened to you?"
"Nothing much, I just got home" Kajus said smiling
Liv stood there looking at his scar which made Kajus a little bit uncomfortable until Olaf cut in.
"don't stare at a warrior's scars, it's not nice, it's fine to be curious but never stare." Olaf said in a firm tone.
'my dad has scars as well, he probably knows what I am going through' Kajus thought
Liv nodded "I am sorry, but tell us how you got it" she said in a curious tone.
"It's not an exciting story but I did fight with the orcs! it was a difficult battle but ive learned alot!"
"Where are the orcs strong?" Liv asked
"yes they were very strong, but not stronger than your brother! I slewed several actually"
"Brother is so strong" Liv said with awe in her tone.
Dina served breakfast and they ate as a family just like before, it was not for a long time that Kajus had been gone but for Kajus, this was something he had missed the very first morning that he had left.
"What clan did you join Kajus?" his father asked
"The Condottiere's"
" the Condottiere's ?, hmm well it's your life I won't be the one to judge, I've heard that your captain is of the stalwart rank?"
"yes my captain is incredibly strong, it's hard to put into words"
"Liv you will go to university, Kajus came here with 500 gold coins in the bag! thank him properly"
Liv was stunned and as she should be since 500 gold was enough to start a business or even enough to build a small town
"I don't know what to say..., thank you brother"
"what wouldn't I do for my little sister, 500 gold coins? that's nothing here take this"
Kajus couldn't stop himself from giving away more gold he had on him when he looked at his little sister sitting there munching on her food. He brought out 100 gold coins
"take this, buy the stuff you need for university! it's not time yet since you are still in school but this should be enough to help you become the greatest wizard in the whole world"
Liv was stunned as he heard and saw what Kajus said and did, she couldn't bring out any words to thank him so she hugged him " I've got the biggest and the best brother in the world!"
"Kajus" A unhappy tone came out of Dina as she looked at Kajus handing her 100 gold coins
"stop doting on her, or she will become too dependent on you!"
"how can I stop doting on her!" Kajus said before laughing.
As they continued chatting about mundane subjects time past quickly.
"brother I will be going to school now, don't leave on a big quest again ok!" Liv said with a sour face
"fine... but promise me that you will do well in school ok?"
Liv laughed and nodded while sprinting towards school.
"Hey Kajus, I know a good blacksmith that can forge good armor and weapons for you," Olaf said.
"sounds good, lets go now if you have nothing else"
"alright"
Kajus and Olaf quickly departed towards the blacksmith that Olaf knew.
They arrived at a shabby store front that seemed abandoned.
"are you sure this is it?"
"yes I am sure, I have not gone senile yet!"
As they entered the shabby place Kajus noticed that the insides were completely different from the insides, in front of him was a large hall with weapons and armors on display. Kajus also felt a very strong heat coming from the back of the store, behind the counter.
As Kajus stood there and looked at the different armors a clerk came and greeted them.
"Hello Olaf, long time no see, master is busy right now, is there something I can help you with?"
"I see he hasn't changed, my son is here as a customer so ask him" Olaf said.
